it is COMPLETELY inappropriate for this APP to be on Steam. It is a predatory APP in that it is a casino APP that requires you to make IRL purchases with real money to replenish your cash. This is NOT a conventional video game, and therefore has NO business being on a video GAME platform like Steam. It is gambling app with zero chance winning of real money, simple as that. It's LESS ethical than an actual casino which would actually pay you sometimes. Every day, families have to deal with apps like this taking advantage of gambling addicts and elderly folks who don't realize that apps like this use real money. Families often end up buying such individuals a Switch or electronic gambling game that is an oasis from this type of predatory business. Steam should be part of those solutions for folks looking for a non-predatory game for gambling enthusiasts. They have let me down. This is yet another reason to abandon Steam and PC gamging in-general, if they're going to join this predatory business. I have been with Steam since it's inception and this is the saddest day I've had with it in 21 years. If you worked on this APP: when your family asks what you do for a living, you should say you sell drugs to children so that you don't have to admit what you really do for a living.

Controls and Music ruin it. Lack of mouse controls is not great. But on top of that the joystick controls seem to have an annoying inertia to it in order to kinda poorly emulate fighting against a trackball's inertia. But you never get the precision of a trackball or mouse, so clearly that doesn't work out. The visuals are generally pretty great and the gameplay is pretty timeless. It doesn't stray too far from the original formula, doesn't offer multiple modes of various modernity like some retro revival packages. Which would be okay if the core experience was absolutely mind-blowing. But I'm not personally a fan of where they went with the music. It sounds like generic 90s techno, alluding to neither the period of the original tempest, nor the era of this product's release, making it seem a sort of piece out-of-time. The graphics also, although pretty, could all probably have been done in 1999. If they add mouse controls and you turn off the music, it's basically a pretty (but not re-inventive) visual upgrade to the original tempest, but as-is it's a downgrade overall. Pricey too.

One of the greatest adventures I've been on. I can only play on Medium due to hardware, and it's still one of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen. Incredibly creative and varied game play. Shooting yourself through portals, dashing through force fields, parkour, hover-boarding, bike-riding, dimension-flipping puzzles, lemmings-type "Anomoly Puzzles", ceiling-crawling virus-hunting, and a bunch of super-fun weird weapons and cool ways to dispatch enemies, all in very varied environments. I've tried a few R&C games and this is the first one I finished because it just sucked me in with the abundant creativity. It's a bit short, but you can see why - every level of this thing is epic and stacked to the gills with design, even at this length, development must have been a TON of work. You can really tell this is a labor of love for the franchise and video games as a whole. Playing with a mouse, trackpad or gyro controls is also great and a great reason to play on pc/steamdeck - better aiming of course, but also being able to go through the weapon menu with a mouse or gyro is more intuitive to me as well.

Online is dead. Retro mode is distorted. NEO mode has unlimited continues, so you'll get through it quick. So, the only point would be to compete on the leader-boards or play local VS. Shame because it's a beautiful game that controls well.

No tutorial. No Manual. Can't figure this crap out to save my life and I just die right away. I guess this game is only for people who learned how to play from a previous game. Sorry for trying to jump into your franchise mid-way, it's clear you don't intend new customers to enjoy or even understand this.

If you don't know Dominion, this is a wonderful card game that requires a lot of improvisational thinking. It's well worth buying the physical version. So, this digital version is free and comes with several expansions, and only the game host has to own DLC expansions in multiplayer. It's a great deal. I've spent zero dollars on this version and have gotten more playtime out of this than the physical version I bought and have gotten to play a bunch of the expansions in MP. In short, it's pure, free awesomeness.

Multiplayer, accessible Hearthstone killer with Marvel Characters. How on earth is this free? Would appreciate Steam achievements though.

Okay, so I buy tons of tables throughout the runs of Pinball FX 2 and 3. Purchases from FX 2 carried over to 3. But with this release, I now own only 3 tables, apparently. I guess if I ever want to play Garfield, Snoopy or Godzilla Pinball, I'll head for this app, but for most of my collection, I'm really obviously stuck with the Pinball FX 3 app, which has all my purchases, progress and high scores for a majroity of the digital pinball tables I play. Did the CEO say, "Release a new version that will only be marginally relevant to established customers?" If so, slow clap, sir. Well done.

They fixed the mouse controls, finally. And now it's an amazing game. Games like this were meant to be played with a mouse/trackball/dial, not a joystick. So, finally seeing the analog controls fixed is great, and a reason to finally play this game. Several modes and challenges with global leaderboards keeps an eternal reason to keep coming back to this very fun take on a classic. Great to finally see Atari do as much with the breakout genre as Arkanoid, Wizorb, Shatter and others have done, since they invented the thing. Nice comeback, reminiscent of Space Invaders Extreme or Pac-Mac CE, delicious modern crack made of nostalgia.

No run-ahead support for this core. So, added input lag, just like any other emulator. Run-ahead is a game changer, any cores that don't support it undermine that advantage. FPGA and Real Hardware still the lowest latency ways to play Amiga games for now, glad to have my A500 still. Please allow folks who can't afford such things to play Amiga games the way they were meant to be played. Thank you!
