So, Oxenfree.
Holy sh*t.
This game.

I never thought I would have enjoyed this as much as I did, but I did nontheless.
As the story is the main focus of this game, I can safely say it's amazing. You won't understand it fully unless you get all the collectibles, and you won't get the best possible ending either. DO AN AUTHENTIC BLIND PLAYTHROUGH FIRST. The game has a new game plus, and they do it extremely well so you can get the full playthrough on the second run.

Alex as a main character is really enjoyable and relatable. The other characters are human, each engaging with Alex in a likeable and realistic way. Her dialogue choices can make her out to be a complete b**ch, a kind and caring person or not say anything at all, which is fun. The voice acting in this game is SUPERB, so don't expect any half-assed or cringy dialogue, which is great for the immersion.

The music is disturbing; in a good way of course. It sets the atmosphere well, a haunted island where you and your stranded friends engage in activities of the paranormal kind!

The gameplay mechanics, with the puzzles and radio mechanics are fun, but don't go out of their way to be annoying. Careful though, some of the puzzles pick out bits of lore you may have skipped over if you weren't careful.

The plot is very enjoyable ,and spooky as hell, I might add. This is a good horror game. Less jumpscares, more unsettling and weird things instead. Some of the parts I didn't quite get were all based around temporal distortion and dimensions, but this game does it better than most games even attempting time travel from a narrative standpoint.

FYI I did get this during a sale for 5 euro, but I would have gladly paid for it at full price. Top quality game, highly recommend.
