Valiant Hearts is an intense, emotional, game. Chapter 4, specially the final sequences, are among the best things I've experienced while gaming. Beautiful.

Another point worth mentioning: I learned a lot about WWI during my playthrough. From trivia - tanks are only named tanks because british military tried to trick enemy inteligence, making them believe that the project they were working was designed to supply water to Russian troops - to key historical events - the development of chemical warfare, the result of main battles - and about daily life on the early 20th century.

It is as close to a movie or a book that a game can get, I believe. The awesome art and soundtrack play a big role in this immersive expercience. On the top of the breathtaking plot, the combat system is enjoyable and simple - but far from shallow.

I would recommend it to anyone who likes story-driven games, altough I must advise that the storyline is pretty much linear. The decision making aspect won't have a true impact on the ending of the game. Nevertheless, the choices you make will have noticeable side effects as the story develops.

The sequel has already been announced, and I can't wait for it.

Good game, but not worthy of it's price. It's fun and requires a lot of thinking, but it's not as complex as the developers want to believe. I should also mention that, at least for me, the game has little replayability. I would recommend to buy it ONLY if it's on sale for a stupidly low price.
