Great chaotic fun cooperative game that can be played in short or long bursts. Highly recommended!

Incredible atmosphere, visuals, and sounds plus impressive Alien AI make this one of the most immersive and scary games you'll ever play.

This game has a great core fun explore-fight-build-craft and repeat loop. The boss battles can be a bit tough and require some trial and error but the sense of progression and exploration are top notch. Game is even better as a coop experience.

This is a very fun, unique simulation game. The immersion of operating a train from a first-person perspective and moving train cars and engines around in a free-form open world is excellent. Plus there's a career mode/basic progression system that gives some larger scope and context to moving the trains around, which is still great fun all on its own!

The small team of developers continue to put out regular updates and are updating the game at a surprising pace. It's obvious that they are passionate and dedicated to making the best product that they can.

Note that I have only played this game in non-VR mode but can't wait to try it in VR as well.

I have more games in my Steam Library than I could ever play yet I keep returning to this one every few months. It's hard to explain but there's a weird tranquility and satisfaction in driving a giant truck from one city to the next working to shift gears at the right time, delivering cargo, avoiding speeding fines, wrecks, and red light tickets. Learning to successfully back up a giant semi truck is, strangely, one of my most satisfying video game accomplishments right up there with completing an epic Civilization game or making a giant Cities Skylines city. Plus buying new trucks and growing your company is fun and rewarding as well.

The game has also come a long way since release with thousands of more kilometers of roads having been added by DLC, more interesting/complex intersections, and larger, more detailed cities. Add in a steering wheel, pedals, and a manual gear shifter and the game nears perfection.

One of the most polished and addicting management games ever made. There's always something to do, something to tweak, something to improve...

If you're interested in economic simulator management games such as Cities Skylines or Transport Tycoon, then you should really check this out. The visuals are great, the economic system robust (if not a little finicky at times), and the UI is good. The game lacks some explanation and the tutorials leave a bit to be desired (specifically on how the supply chains work as they are very different than Transport Tycoon but the same as their previous game, Train Fever which I never played). I had to rely on community guides and video tutorials to figure out some of these aspects. But it's a testament to how fun it is to simply build track and trains that I stuck with it and figured it out. There is simply a great sense of satisfaction in getting a rail line up and running. Setting up successful supply chains and building a train empire is great fun.

The campaign is good, albeit a bit wonky and cheesy at times in a good way. I enjoyed playing through it and it helped to slowly introduce game concepts and new vehicles gradually. There are no AI opponents, which would have made for a fun additional game mode but I do not miss them all that much. Building up your own train/transport empire is the star of this game here and seeing the technological progress over time is very fun too.

Did I mention how great the vehicles and visuals look, especially for an economic sim? The vehicles truly stand out, as they should! Some folks have complained that there is a lack of vehicle options, but there are a lot of mods you can use to fill in this gap. I'm 80 hours in and I've still not used all the base game vehicles so I don't feel this way.

Overall, I feel that this game is a bit underrated. I've also been disappointed at the lack of media attention it's received. Furthermore, the developers have released some key patches that have fixed some of the slowdown issues and improved the UI so it's only gotten better since released. It's not perfect but it's the closest thing to a Tranport Tycoon 2 that we have and it stands well on its own. I highly recommend it.

Why is this game so much fun? I can't explain it but I'll try. It's relaxing and sublime. The driving is fun and can even be tense as deadlines approach. The developer's are continually improving it as well such as the massive rescale of the entire map thus far.

It's even better with a steering wheel and pedals.

It's great and you should try it.
