This game is one of the best party games I've played in a long time. I love the concept, the art, the execution, and especially appreciate the co-op mode. It's a shining shimmering example of couch competitive mayhem at its best. Highly recommended!

Tunic was my GOTY for 2022 in many ways. I've been following the development of this game since the very beginning and I couldn't be happier with the result. The soundtrack alone is enough justification to buy and play this game but if that wasn't already enough, the visual style, innovative gameplay, and incredibly cool deep secrets should do it for ya. I want a sequel.

I've been a huge fan of Lifeformed ever since hearing Fastfall, the Dustforce OST and I have been patiently awaiting this album's release. I'm only a few tracks into it and I'm already in love, as was expected! Umbra was also fantastic so I'm hyped to see Janice Kwan's name on this album too. If you haven't picked up Tunic yet, I suggest you get the OST bundle. You won't be disappointed.

Such a nostalgia trip. Having grown up playing 8-bit sports game, this game really hit close to home. I was big into NHL '94 so the hockey player is my fav but the whole lineup has unique shot abilities that make it fun to play them all. Lots and lots of achievements to unlock, which I appreciate as most devs just do the bare minimum. I do wish there was a better way to protect the ball from getting stolen all the time but maybe I'm just terrible at avoiding attacks.

Finally just completed Death Stranding after powering through some incredibly challenging deliveries. I've played every Metal Gear Solid on Hard Mode and had a feeling I wouldn't be playing through this more than once so I went all out and put it on Hard so that was a factor for sure. I've been hoping for a Kojima game outside the confines of Metal Gear for years and this didn't fail to deliver on my expectations.

Make no mistake, this is a story-driven game and one must be prepared to treat it as such. Most of the take-away here comes from the cinematic cutscenes and the beauty of the natural landscape you are traversing. The gameplay itself is grueling and cumbersome and often mundane, especially navigating rough terrain on a Reverse Trike, which quickly became my preferred method of transportation as hoofing it would've easily doubled my playtime. I had some issues with the trike physics and got frustrated with the sluggish handling on the roads I painstakingly rebuilt but none of that was enough to keep me from playing to completion.

I loved the whole item carrying system and how you really had to consider what you brought with you and where to place things so you wouldn't topple over and ruin your precious cargo. People like to hate on the game calling it an Amazon Prime simulator or whatever and that definitely made me laugh out loud the first time I heard it but the gameplay is so much deeper than that. You're climbing mountains and dealing with timefall (think acid rain) and you have to mitigate the route you're taking with the weather conditions, treacherousness, and time limits, not to mention the pizza delivery side-missions where you have to keep the container flat at all times! These extra challenges force you to get creative with the item placement mechanic and I had a lot of fun with that.

I personally made a bee-line for the end of the story as I didn't feel terribly inclined to pursue a completionist-style playthrough given the depth of the game and my frustrations with the trike physics. In other words, I was mostly in it to win it and watch the story unfold, which was absolutely mind-blowing. I'd heard people talk about the payoff of completing the game being 100% worth it and I'm just here to reinforce that this is absolutely true.

If you start this game and you're starting to feel like it's too hard and not worth completing or whatever, just keep going and get through it. You will NOT be disappointed like Lost or GOT. This game's main story delivers. I say main story because some of the side story stuff is not great. Particularly the Chiral Artist bit. I have no idea how that part even made it into the game, to be honest. But just ignore that and keep going! You'll be glad you did.

Lastly, the online mechanics are super unique. I've never seen a game with features quite like it. You can find other players' lost items or other players will leave things for you (or whoever wants them) that help you on your way. There's a system of upgrading structures that benefits everyone in what I can only describe as your prescribed playgroup. I'm not 100% sure but I think it slots a set number of players worldwide into these groups and you collectively exist in the same play area but only passively. You'll see new structures pop up that other players have built and other players will see yours as well.

There is a funny system of giving likes to structures as a way of saying thank you. Not only that but there is a digital AR sign-placing system that allows clever communication between players on where hidden items are or what the best routes to take are. I gave a lot of likes to signs and structures along the way because I definitely would not have succeeded on my deliveries without them! Shout out to my playgroup!

Good luck on your adventure and keep on keeping on!

I really like this game a lot and I've played a ton of it but unfortunately the only reason I've managed that is because of the mod community backing this game. Honestly, without the physics mods that make the game actually feel realistic, it's not nearly as enjoyable. As someone who's been skating for 2 decades, I'm looking for something that closely resembles what it actually feels like and looks like in real life.

The reason for the negative review is that Easy Day has released this game on other platforms like PS4, which do not allow you to mod the physics to make the game realistic. My little cousin bought it on PS4 after playing it on my PC and learned the hard way that the game just ain't the same without the PC rig and the know-how to get it playing the way it should be. I'm not sure why you can't make these changes out of the box but until you can, this review stays in the red. Sorry guys, gotta fix it up.

This game is pretty sweet. It's a fun way to learn and has real-world benefits that make it a good use of your time. It's packed with hundreds words plus you can fly a spaceship and shoot lasers. If you get bored with one language, you can just try another!

Source: I made the game. ; )
