Endgame sucks, bosses suck, rng grind sucks, penalization for being away sucks, especially in the way of winter scenario. Theres a good base here, but that it, its more fun to think of what the game COULD be than it is to actually play the content that is currently available.

monetization is its own problem, and yes I AM salty the tv head is a paid cosmetic.

I dont suck as much at this game as initial review. I'm absolutely done with cheaters, and no action being taken on them, changing versions makes it so we cant go back watch replays to prove people are cheating.

Capcom wants sf6 to be a serious esports yet doesnt take their online serious. Remember this game is relying on ONLINE TOURNAMENTS for its MILLION DOLLAR COMPETITION. ♥♥♥♥♥ absurd. I ALMOST want a refund.

Update Dec 2024: its still hot garbage. most people in ranked have less than 50 hours in training and pull off every combo, never whiff or misinput. 2 years in safe to say they do not care. Save your money.

its alright, but dont do what I did. Go in understanding this ISN'T another MHW, this is its own thing, and wirebugs are cool beans

This game just has so much to it. Its kind of like if Dark Souls robbed BotW and Skyrim of all its great open world ideas. I can easily see myself spending HUNDREDS of hours playing this game and thats WITH the performance issues and bug. There are more technical problems than previous souls games but From has been doing a better than usual job communicating whats happening with updates and such. If you can handle some hiccups (and dont have an overtly under powered gpu) really try it.

So with the Colosseum update I have add this, matchmaking in the arena is broken. Matches rarely connect, when they do players drop out. Its not a question of net speed or hardware for me. DX12 is still forked stutters if you havent played in a while. This game a year out should work better. The rose tinted glasses are off at this point. If online stayed connected even half the time, it would be a major improvement.

THIS POSITIVE REVIEW COMES WITH A COUPLE CAVEATS!

Good:
Game kind of holds your hand (in a non intrusive way) if you're unfamiliar with newer decks cards or play styles
General ui/assets looks clean compared to the Legacy of Duelist game
Online works pretty good
Handed a decent amount of "premium" currency so you can make your preferred deck, maybe 2 or 3 if you watch what packs you buy

Bad:
Premium currency is priced a bit high, the prices for in game packs is almost compareable to irl cards/booster box, there is no 1000 gem option (booster boxes aka 10 packs is 1000) meaning you have to buy 2 600 gem packs which comes to about 35 cad.
Players take FOREVER to do stuff online, like not even chain setups, some people take minutes to set 1 card.
Limited non ranked play options, theres literally public tables and thats it D:
Needs more solo content: I would easily pay a few bucks to get some of the LOD scenarios for solo, even if it didnt give a lot of rewards, solo play inbetween 30 minute long 5 turn matches would be amazing.

Its free, its a good tcg, but it has some monetization and solo content issues. Overall I say play it, but go in knowing its NOT perfect.

EDIT: From said something on twitter, ds3, and the dsr community pages and reassured the fans the games will be fixed after elden rings release.

DS2 isnt the best dark souls, but its still a great time (after you learn how to manage the dwindling health pool mechanic)

I bought it for project nigthfall, worth.

Its pretty, its fun, and the story is neat.

I'm not trash at this and I'm trash at like all fps games
