Imagine playing this game when there are plenty of better alternatives to waste your time on. Looks like a hobbyist project too. Clunky, poor character kit designs, terrible map, weak structures, and UI looks like straight out of a mobile game.

🌟 Brighter Shores Review: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

I wanted to enjoy Brighter Shores, but unfortunately, several glaring issues made it hard to stick with. The art style is a big letdown. It attempts a semi-realistic, minimalist look, blending a blocky white world with more refined elements, but the end result feels visually disjointed. The environments look awkward, and the poorly fitting animations only add to the confusion.

The UI is another major problem. It’s cluttered and unintuitive, with oversized elements that take up too much space. The map is particularly frustrating; text scaling is a mess, making navigation a headache, especially since the game doesn’t offer helpful guidance for finding new areas. Having to aimlessly search for undiscovered locations felt unnecessarily punishing.

Combat is lackluster at best. Even though it’s not the game’s primary focus, that doesn’t excuse how stale and uninspired it feels compared to other MMORPGs. Dialogue with characters is bland, and the music is forgettable—nothing about it stands out, leaving the world feeling devoid of any real personality or charm. Overall, the game struggles to present any unique identity.

Sadly, Brighter Shores just isn't engaging. I didn’t play for long because the experience never hooked me. It feels like no real effort went into making the game appealing or interesting for new players. It was a disappointing journey I couldn’t see a reason to continue.

Shortly, this feels like a poor Runescape clone that was made as a hobbyist project.
