Truly a transcendent game. Baldur's Gate 3 is a triumph, and worthy successor to the CRPGs of Bioware's golden age. Not only is the game itself excellent, but it shows that it's still possible for a game development company to create, not simply produce. And Larian created a work of brilliance, imbued with utmost passion. I'd adventure in their Faerun for ages. Cheers to Larian! This one is taking its rightful place in my "all-time greats", and I'll be playing it for years to come.

Sometimes a game comes along that surprises you with its depth and beauty. Terraria is that game. Let slip the bonds of the earth by sipping a gravitation potion to fly across the night sky in a battle to the death with unrelenting monstrosities. Just don't forget your wings--be they angel or demon.

Herein you shall wage a neverending war against the forces of light and darkness as they threaten to consume all you hold dear.

Yes, sometimes a game comes along that simply makes you smile, because of its ability to bestow pure gaming bliss. Want a shotgun? You got it. Lightsaber? They're here, too.

I've been to the bowels of hell and back--and I've thrown glowsticks at zombies in my skyward skull-palace, accessible only by an ice rod and divine flight. There, at the edge of space, I've crafted the armaments of the gods and built a tower into the heavens.

How can that not sound like fun?

So, get started. If you fail to play this game, you're truly missing out.

Hilarious, hectic, and--at times--surprisingly hard, Magicka is a rare and wondrous gem. Adventuring with your friends is sincerely fun--and never short on laughs. Be sure to check out the versus for even more madness.

Embrace the chaos. Cross the beams. It's Magicka, baby.

Creative, innovative. Well worth a look; you won't regret it. Some of the later levels are absolutely insane. Like when the music starts, and the platforms are bumping, appearing, disappearing to the beat of the music, and you're swaying with a tilting, turning world, it's like nothing else.

No other game will make you die this much. You are a fragile wad of flesh exposed to the endless madness of spinning blades and meat-seeking demons (and missiles). Whether traversing a wasteland of discarded needles or dodging through avenues of salt, you will die. There is no doubt. You will die more than you thought possible in a game... until now.

But this game will also deliver sincere delight, if you can obtain victory. It's an experience so brutal it bestows a sense of achievement which is ancient. As old as the NES. Something that harkens to a time when lives were finite, and failure meant starting over.

Play this if you crave a challenge, but beware... Only through a sea of blood will you reach glory.

If you seek a good scare, then you should play this. A genuinely frightening game.
