Addictive gameplay, strong narrative, and excellent presentation make this one of the best in the genre. Despite putting so many hours into it and completing the main story and epilogue I still see myself going back to this again and again.

Manages to mix a lot of ideas well, like copying abilities like Mega Man but having it be on every enemy like Kirby but also making them work a bit like the powers from Gunstar Heroes. Being able to make so many different weapons as well having a deep amount of content makes this one of my all-time favorites!

An atmospheric and unforgettable metroid-with-a-bit-of-souls experience.
