Bloober Team have done an amazing job remaking one of the best horror games of all time! The atmosphere, the soundtrack, the story.

Hunt: Showdown is one of the best extraction shooters; and here's why:

THE GAMEPLAY

You play as a bounty hunter, investigating clues about your Monster Targets in a harsh environment filled with enemy players, monsters, and traps. Either you get out with bounty tokens, victorious; or you die and lose your hunter, and start with another one. Sound is important in this game. Crows, horses, bells; these are traps that can alert everyone of your position, so watch out! [/h1]

THE OPTIMIZATION

The game runs smoothly and looks great! No crashes or FPS issues! CryEngine might be one of the best engines!

THE THEME OF THE GAME

This game is set in the late 1800s. Towns filled with monsters and other enemies. Houses that look broken down, filthy swamps, dead animals everywhere; this game is so filthy, and I like it! [/h3]

I recommend Hunt: Showdown because it has a great gameplay loop of killing bounties and players. It keeps me engaged and on my toes. It might be frustrating to play solo, but the rewards are greater (still recommend playing with one or two friends for a better experience).

The tension you feel in this game is immense. The shooting is solid, with most of the environment being destructible and serving a gameplay purpose. Every operator has its purpose, and can counter others. The toxicity is the biggest issue with this game, and maybe some server issues. Graphically, the game looks great, but I have a hard time with visibility (might be a me issue...). Overall, this game is a solid 7.5/10.
