I figured the concept of Kyousuke having a brother might rly piss some ppl off since he's hardly mentioned - if at all, usually that kind of thing REALLY bothers me, too. However, in this case I think I was SO happy that the protagonist didn't have multiple personalities (which is also such a worn out cliche) that I was ready to roll with it. Heh

Despite its short comings the story was definitely a hard one to put down, it's style is just the type that makes you feel like you have to know what's coming next I know what you mean about the other female branch storys coming off as very secondary "add-ins" compared to the true route. I'm glad I happened to save Haru's route for last because the other endings just don't compare to the "epicness". (My 2nd fave route was Miwa's: it managed to make me cry, the other two really didn't do much for me.)

So I'm guessing Eiichi won you over, too? He was such a piece of cr@p in the beginning, not gonna lie. LOL

Ooooooooo, stick with it, though I totally know where you're coming from. I will say this game does a good job of explaining everything away by the conclusion/no loose ends that annoy the heck out of you. I HATE vague sh*t, like... that's just lazy writing IMO.

Awesome to hear you're enjoying it & I pretty much felt the same way about the characters as how you described them! :3 Speaking of Death Note similarities... Haru & her many eccentric/playful moments reminded me SO much of L (made me miss him all over again T_T). Eiichi makes for a good best friend (sure, he can be a total sh*it but dude has his rredeeming moments), plus I admit his antics often made me laugh. Usually, getting me to laugh = fondness. lol

NP! Voices usually make everything better, just adds to the character, even if in a diff language - the tone & performance still gets the point across. It adds an extra layer to the words you're reading IMO. As far cliches go... I like how there are moments when the game is very "self aware" & pokes fun at such things. It was refreshing. I'd love to hear your thoughts/opinions on it anytime, I can talk about games I like all day long, honestly.
