Played the game when it was first released back in 2020 and even though I did not encounter as many bugs as people said there were, I can agree that it was in a pretty bad state with a ton of missing content. I spent around 50 hours on my first playthrough and didn't feel like coming back for a second.

Fast forward 2 years and the release of Edgerunners, the game is in a much better state than before and CDPR has really turned it around. The game now has fewer bugs, better optimization, and a ton of great new content to keep you engaged and exploring. I'm almost in 100 hours with this more recent playthrough and I can admit, I've been enjoying the game way more.

Now to the real deal. The gameplay of this game is good and distinctive but nothing to write home about. You can take many approaches to how you take on enemies and progress the storyline. For example, you can go with a full stealth build and a playthrough as almost all quests and levels including all camps are designed for both chaotic and silent approaches. Gunplay can be a little repetitive and boring at times but is relatively decent. However, melee combat is currently absolutely horrible. However, you can still be creative and have a fun time even with a melee build too.

The main plot of the game is OK and it kind of feels rushed a little bit. However, the side quests are simply amazing. Almost as good as The Witcher 3 side quests or sometimes even better! But still, the game is filled with corny and cliche lines that are honestly cringe. Especially Johnny Silverhand. Keanu has not done a great job with his character and honestly, he doesn't fit at all.

And finally graphics and music. There is simply no other better-looking game out there with a cyberpunk art style and vibe. Especially with RT Ultra enabled, the game can sometimes feel like something straight out of a Denis Villeneuve movie. Even though I could not run RT Ultra at first, patches made things better, and now can run in decent and playable framerates. And the OST of this game is simply amazing. Everything from the radio to combat music and ambient music is soooo good. You can hop into a car and not change the radio because everything is a banger on the radio. I've even discovered songs and genres that I never liked and never knew even existed!

All things considered, Cyberpunk 2077 is a very good game to try out with a ton of replayability. You get to immerse yourself in a dystopian future as a mercenary and go through a rollercoaster of emotions, deciding on the lesser evil.

Pretty cool game to play with friends but gets extremely repetitive and boring after a couple of games.
