This game has gotten a lot of hype, and while it isn't worth all the hype it gets (no game is), it is still an enjoyable game overall. Obviously it's only been out for a day not counting the beta, so some things in this review may be addressed as time goes on, but it's unlikely that much will change. Give it 10 or so rounds before making up your own mind.
Some loadouts seem more powerful than others but with a few exceptions I'm chalking it up to the much larger playerbase since the beta meaning a wider range of skill in the players.
It would be beneficial also for this game (and all pvp games) to include the ability to submit feedback about weapons/items/maps/gamemodes that feel unbalanced or broken, instead of only having the ability to report players.

THE GOOD (please don't change):
The environment is entirely destructible. This allows for some good strategic plays like bringing the cash down to you or carving a shortcut through a building, in addition to just being plain good fun. A building falling down on you doesn't kill you either, encouraging this behavior.
TTK is short but not so short that spray-and-pray weapons are effective (see every auto shotgun in every CoD game ever), and with no shields or healthpacks and a relatively long time before health begins to regen, it actually feels like killing your opponents is dependent on more than just whose aimhax locks on quicker.
Movement is fluid and easy to pick up, and the three class options do have noticeably different movement speeds and hitboxes.
The gamemodes are refreshingly new takes on the typical shooter gamemodes, and there's no TDM (though this is also a downside as you will have teammates who are violently allergic to doing the objective).

THE BAD (not dealbreakers):
The console's autoaim is as annoying as it is in every game with crossplay, but crossplay can be disabled.
Cheaters are in many matches but the playerbase at launch is sizable enough that it's more annoying than frustrating (and with no TDM aimhax don't guarantee wins).
There's no killcam (which is also a good thing).
There's no chat, so you can't call out your teammates for being useless. On the plus side, there's no chat, so your teammates can't deploy the extent of their pre-teen slur vocabulary when you call them out for being useless.
The setting is unique, but the game's "color commentators" are very annoying (and not even real people as they used AI voices). Fortunately their volume can be individually adjusted to zero.
There's no penalty for leaving a match early, so if you are queuing up solo, you will always be put into an in-progress match where you are guaranteed to lose. There are easy fixes for this issue but in addition to forfeit penalties I'd like to see a "only join new games" option (even if it increases queue time).

THE UGLY (the longevity of this game hinges on these getting fixed (or at least I hope so)):
It's free-to-play. This means that cosmetically the game is bland as melted ice until you open your wallet. And for those that do, the cosmetics are garishly reminiscent of fortnite, which no game (not even fortnite) should aspire to. I suppose this may keep the streamers playing it, which sometimes seems to be the only way to keep a playerbase for longer than a month.
You won't be earning enough in-game free currency to unlock new gear unless you win, regardless of how well you play otherwise.
Weapons that should be balanced due to their recoil are made overpowered by anti-recoil not-quite-hax-but-still-should-be-banned tools.
The turret is an instant-lock-on deployable with 800% too much health, and is not limited to one per team.
Finally, the biggest issue is the audio. There is no directional audio (or if there is it's laughably bad to the point of being intentionally bad). There is no discernible difference between your teammate's footsteps right behind you and the enemy team's two buildings over. The one upside is that you can play with all audio completely muted with almost no difference in performance, and in fact if the hit markers were more visible it may actually be a better way to play.

In summary, the two biggest issues with this game are the turret and the lack of directional audio.
As a grumpy old man in his early 30s I know the free-to-play aspects of this game aren't going to be fixed; some people actually do want to pay money to force other players to see their Elvis outfit or farting flowers emote (some tweens may actually be more excited to play this game at the thought of a farting flowers emote, only to be disappointed to learn that I exaggerated for derisive effect).
I also recognize that even if the game was $70 it would still have all the same battle passes and cosmetic bundles; the greed of capitalism can never be satiated.

To summarize the summary: I know you scrolled to the bottom without reading anything, go back to the top and start over.

Multiplayer follows the old rule of "if it's only mostly broken, don't fix it", so I hope you enjoy enemies spawning behind you, spawning at the literal end of a gun barrel or as a grenade lands at your feet, and endlessly losing because every single one of your teammates thinks every game mode is team deathmatch regardless of objectives.

Alternate game modes like Ground War and Invasion would be fun if every other player on the other team wasn't constantly pitching tents with sniper rifles, and DMZ is a promising game mode ruined by AI enemies with endless reinforcements, laser-perfect accuracy, and gun damage that far exceeds anything a player can deal.

The campaign suffers from Fast and Furious syndrome and whoever thought rebooting the Modern Warfare name with new voice actors and a new (and far worse) story should be slowly executed on public television.

And finally, if PC players are using an objectively inferior control platform (controllers), you know your aim-assist for controllers is broken. I understand wanting to enable crossplay without console players endlessly being dominated by people using a superior control platform (mouse+keyboard), but giving them aim-hacks is not the way to fix it.

This game has been out for four years and the settings don't save when they are changed but still require the game to restart for even the most trivial of changes (unlike literally every other game in existence). Furthermore, needing another game launcher by a soul-less scum-sucking publishing company to launch a single-player game is tantamount to a war crime.

If you played Runescape back in the day, you'll either love coming back to it with all the quality of life improvements, new quests and skills, and graphical updates, or you'll hate it because of all the microtransactions, cosmetics, and limited-time events.

Warning: Do not use voice chat while playing this game in less friendly parts of town. You will be shouting things like "Grab the coke!" "Let's cook some meth!" and "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SWAT, die already!" on a regular basis and this may result in your neighbors getting suspicious.

It has the hour-consuming addicting quality of Sim City or Civilization. And that's pretty damn high praise.
