The only survival game I actually enjoy so far, mostly because the coop gameplay is so much fun. Can't see anything bad with this game, hopefuly they won't change too much until the final release.

Game looks fun, but playing together with controllers just didn't work.

Stopped playing because it's just too long. Apparently I am missing 2 more chapters (out of 7); the last two I played both felt to me they should be the final ones. And even though some levels are really nice to look at and very creative, others are just boring, and the low variety of enemies and weapons makes this a drag overall. My recommendation is to play the first 2 or 3 chapters and then stop.

Even if you like low-fi graphics, don't mind empty worlds and are actually searching for a game that is more relaxing than demanding, I just cannot recommend Frontiers. I played the release version for over 12 hours and actually liked the Zen-like experience of traversing a huge landscape with not much interaction.

But I am now at a point where I did all the things the checklist in the current main quest wants from me, and I just don't know how to progress. Nothing new came up, no message, no hint. And unfortunately I can't be sure if this is wanted and there is just something I oversaw, or if this is a bug. Both cases would be bad: the former because the world is so huge, and the latter because the developer already admitted they won't update the game anymore. They don't even reply to any questions and feedback at the forums.

This is super unfortunate. Playing Frontiers really feels like playing a dream project that went wrong so badly. It should not be purchasable on Steam. I also support the suggestion that the developer could make the project source public, so some enthusiastic Frontiers fans (they still exist) would be able to make the game more playable.

I don't write this because I hate the game or the developer. Even if I had backed the game I would be disappointed, but not mad.
I just don't know anybody whom I could recommend Frontiers. The story sounded interesting, but I am stuck and I don't know if it's my fault. The gameplay sounded interesting, but it feels so nonfunctional and without any feedback thanks to the strange animal AI, the awkward combat, the narcoleptic NPCs and the wonky UI. Some of the terrain looks nice even with the oversized pixels, but there is just never enough reason to explore.

The biggest (or: only) plus right now is the music. It's really good.

I like it a lot, even though it does get repetitive, and your AI friend sometimes is really dumb.

Just wish the first mission wasn't that hard; I would have started the game with some light missions that ease into the game. It actually gets a bit easier over time, when you get the new equipment.

Regarding the story writing - it's atmospheric, but of course very cliché. What I don't really understand is that you hear the whole story from the perspective of the black cop, but you actually play the white cop. (The ending doesn't really justify it either.)

Local multiplayer was hard for us because IMHO it's easier to play with mouse+keyboard than with gamepad.

Pretty nice background story and setting. Had some problems progressing, but thanks to your annoying sidekick there never was a real blocker. I like that things can change with another playthrough, but honestly I am not sure I would play it again, nice as it was.

Reminded me of the movie Prometheus design-wise, which is great. A bit too many jumping parts just for the sake of jumping, but overall the play-through was a nice journey.

Don't buy this if you played Technobabylon first.

I think my biggest problem with Neofeud is that there is too much talking without getting to the point. I respect the creator's knowledge and imagination but it all feels wasted on much too long and explanatory dialogs and monologs. To make it worse, there aren't many interesting characters. Proto-J is one one of the most obnoxious characters ever. Add too many unneccessary movie references extremely out of place in a world decades in the future, and you get some writing that varies from sometimes nice to often amateurish.

The game is easy, and even if you're stuck there are obvious hints every time in the form of "I should investigate this ..." or "I should ask that ..." - it feels like very cheap puzzle design and, again, bad writing.
