The best in it's genre. It's a pretty and gritty PC game.

Terrible servers butchering old and gold gamemodes, DarkRP is a plague. You will find mentally unstable people who have been playing religiously on one server and gamemode for years. They will spam outdated furry/gay/anime/LGBT ♥♥♥♥ on their servers that further demonstrates their decaying sanity - they are among the vast majority of people who have a chronic depression and addiction to pornography. It might be me, but it seems to me that the golden age of G-mod's playerbase was replaced by basement dwellers? Not to say you didn't have bad servers before, yeah, but sheesh - I just have difficulties finding good servers these days, I'm just glad the classics are still alive and kicking, TTT, PropHunt, Sandbox, Zombie Survival etc...

Despite all that... I'm still giving this game two thumbs up, it's a staple mod for very good reasons, it brings in all types of people - both scum and good, because the game itself is some of the most interesting experiences you can have. Just make sure to bring a friend or two - or if you want, go on a server hunting trip until you find a decent place to invest your hours to.

A tad overrated with the: BEST GAME OF ALL TIME ♥♥♥♥ going around to this day.

Of course it does have it's fair share of problems, such as NPCs being really predictable with the combat being strafing and unloading on a combine... But the way these NPCs are used and introduced, despite being really really stupid, makes them interesting to fight against. The graphics are so gorgeous and timeless, I can't believe it's actually a game from that era.

Oh there is also an abundance of mods for this game, so if you're in-love with HL2 and source-engine material, this'll take over your soul.

this game really is a fun game...
the following reasons why this game doesn't suck is:
-nice module upgrades (such as being invisible, or summoning some creatures, minions and stuff)
-met a couple of admins which are very nice people,One of those admins explained some lag problems with the game and stuff...
-alot of maps to download, like the mario maps and nintendo 64 maps which are made outta pixeled textures...

sure, it may have some issues with all kind of things, but then again, a fun game that anyone should play if they own hl2...

A good simple short and yet very educational indie game for me at least.
the graphics are solid for a indie game. Best played with an Oculus Rift.

The gameplay is...well kinda fun at some points, but really, nothing special.
Long story short, it's a good game, it's free, so you got nothing to lose.
A mind looks like an universe.

Still a fun game despite showing it's age, remaining stagnant with no love or updates. Always had bots, always will have bots. Community is filled with nuisances, they're kinda annoying, mostly complaining about removing classes/items. Then again I kinda like this community even with it's flaws.

Basically, if you can pass by the fact this game will always have bots infested in them (more than ever). You'll like it.

Would MAYBE recommend to those that like class-themed PvP multiplayer games. There is PvE Mann Vs. Machine which is also fun and a fairly active game-mode, give it a try.

Complaints? Optimization sucks, no updates, bots and a terrible art direction (used to be great, really screwed over by funny meme hats that ruin the TF2 aesthetic).

EDIT: Too many Redditors with their gay "humor" - but that's just the new crowd being drawn in.

The new IQ test implemented within the game works wonders.

It's fun, it's free and it feels like you bought the game.
Play it with a friend, you'll be blasting, getting bombed at, then bombing them in the end
I'd give this a good 9/10, however it's free, so it's a 10/10 perfect score.
