One of the best 3D platformers around. The movement is so great, and the levels don't disappoint either. You can tell the developer put a lot of love into this game, with many content updates.

The combat isn't the most fun part, but all the complaints are a bit exaggerated. It's a pretty small part of the game if you skip out on the battle arena(which I didn't even realize was there until after beating the game). A lot of fights can be skipped as well. The fights aren't even bad, it's just the platforming is so good you don't want to take a break to fight a bit.

Anyway, I hope this sold enough that the dev makes another game. I'll be all over that.

Short and sweet. Very fun to control, which is argueably the most important thing in a 3d platformer. Lots of variation despite the short playtime. It's a steal even at full price, and I'm watching closely anything this dev makes in the future.

Man, I'm not sure how much this game sold, but it's not enough. I've played a lot of tactical RPGs, especially Fire Emblem, and this one was a real treat. I was a bit unsure when I saw it had a card based combat system along with the standard tactical grid, but it's a perfect combo. I sort of binged this game in a few days. I usually can't play a game that long, but I kept wanting to come back.

The game offers lots of customizability in terms of building out your units. You can mix and match cards between characters, and there's tons of unique equipment that completely changes your strategy. For example, there's an item that transfers all of a units buffs to all other friendly units at the end of the turn, so I ended up making one character dedicated to buffing themselves. You want to keep playing to find out what equipment and cards you'll find to make new and exciting builds. The pacing is great.

Story wise, it's serviceable. I would say most of the characters aren't too likeable due to mostly just finding the solution to everything killing. I saw some post on the discussions here asking if the game was meant to be a parody where you play as the bad guys, so it's not just me thinking the protagonists seem a bit too evil in their decision making. There's still some fun references and lines.

One thing I would have wanted changed is the pop up when you get new items/cards. I always had to go into my inventory to see what it did. The pop up should have the details of the item so you don't have to go into your inventory every time. By the end you have quite a few items to scroll through. I'd have also liked some extra battles I could do after beating the game. Maybe that's something to consider for DLC.

Overall it's a great package that I'm sad is over. Hopefully there will be a sequel!

Note: I recommend Hard/Hardcore mode if you want a fair, but tough difficulty. I played Hardcore, and it did get a lot easier in the last third, but that can often happen in RPGs games and I feel it's sort of a reward for building well. I still had to redo some later levels though. I'm going to leave a comment under this review with the final team/build I ended up with.

Well, I haven't ever played any Dota style game, but this game is amazing. It is action paced, and very teamwork heavy. The simple nature of the game doesn't mean it isn't deep. There are so many ways to play each character, and every character is extreamly unique. Plently of people play this. I highly recommend it.
