F2P player here. I'm very surprised how much I enjoy the game. It is a unique hybrid of classic MMO elements with very new and modern systems/approaches. I think it is a great MMO for somebody who plays between 2-4 hours a day. I'd say it is also a solid game for those who enjoy running dungeons and aoe grinding from rng dopamine bumps. The game starts off feeling kind of rough and the game systems require some dedication to understand. However, once you start to fully understand what the game is and how it works, it becomes much more enjoyable.

Huge Souls fan here. The only thing this game shares with those games is: you dodge a lot and bosses will kill you some times. There is a lot of potential here for something great, but it just is not very fun.

I'm roughly 5 hours into playing. So far the story is very bland and painful. Environments are 90% boring af and story/lore is not woven into environment, items, etc. Typical linear gear upgrade system that gives you no satisfaction since it simply keeps you up with the latest enemies. The game has been pretty easy so far and I'm hoping it starts throwing some challenges later. Because most of the combat is ranged, you can just pick off most enemies before they start attacking you. This mixed with the very small amount of enemy types makes for a boring combination. I have fought 3 bosses so far and they have all been solid experiences.

I'm chugging coffee and trying to like this game but I'm not sure how much more I can endure. The game doesn't give you any sense of direction and doesn't provide any motivation for going forward other than to eventually fight bosses. Hopefully it ramps up but at this point its very boring.

GOOD:
- Combat is overall satisfying
- Dodging feels tight and good
- Boss fights have been engaging and fun (even though no where near the difficulty of DS)
- You can play with friends

BAD:
- Environments are SO BORING and repeat constantly
- Lore/story is not woven into environment (like it is in DS)
- Story is not interesting
- Characters, voice acting and writing is bad/boring
- Upgrading items feels like annoying maintenance doesn't provide a sense of growth
- No motivation for continuing forward

Pretty fun, especially for a LAN party type scenario (with friends). Game starts off as a hack-n-slash, horde slaughtering, left click fest but eventually get surprising challenging. They have embedded a lot of good, interesting mechanics that turns killing waves of rat-humans into something that requires positioning, awareness, mechanics, and thinking ahead. Definitely would recommend especially for $10.
