This is my first introduction to the orignal Mafia game.
By today standards the gameplay and the missions are pretty ok, might be even refreshing in comparison to huge worlds and endless gameplay loops. The story and the excellent narrative is what keeps you going, though.

But the real deal is the remake itself. Hangar 13 did an amazing job, the most outstanding feature for me is the driving and the vehicle physics in general. You can really feel the weight of the car bouncing around in corners, they handle realisticly, you can do huge drifts and now even enter the Autodrome to do races with every car.

Only the performance could be a tad better and somehow I'm getting screen tearing like crazy on a 144 Hz Monitor.
