Does less things than Starfield, but it's better at the things it does. Good writing, memorable characters, interesting setting, beautiful user interface with accessibility features, both fart and smart jokes, a lot less loading screens, runs smooth af on the Deck, and fun to play.

9/10 on PC and Steam Deck.

Best adaptation of D&D since Neverwinter Nights 2 and best TRPG and CRPG since Divinity: Original Sin II. Good writing with memorable characters and script. Beautiful maps and cutscenes as well as an iconic soundtrack complete a brilliant campaign. But on top of that, it's a great multiplayer too. Be it couch co-op or online. Massive actual tabletop role-playing vibes. The visuals aren't the most realistic, but still top-notch having in mind the genre. Combat is amazing though turn-based, but don't let that put you down (it's a selling point).

6 years in development + 3 in EA and It does feel like the creators took most feedback from the community and focused in delivering a great game. Contrary to the only one bad review I could read, it does come with accessibility options to change text size. However, there are some flaws keeping this from being a solid 10. I don't think character customisation is as great as some would say it is. You have plenty of options for customising your character's face, but not so many for customising certain features such as facial hair or piercings (Only 1 beard option without moustache) or body mass and height (you're either average height and skinny or a tall buff, no tall skinny, no short buff, and no fat characters, and no, I'm neither fat nor short but c'mon it's 2023). There are loads of videos talking miracles about this feature, as well as reviews saying the game is a new standard for RPGs... While I think it's a very good game, I don't think it's as revolutionary as that. Inventory UI is buggy in lower resolutions when using a controller and there are some huge disappointments such as the lack of DM mode or the Steam Deck version having couch co-op disabled, features their previous game, DOSII, has (UPDATE: They enabled couch co-op for Steam Deck as of December 2023). The combat wheel for playing with controllers it's not bad but could also be improved. Inventory management can get tedious and even worse if using a controller.

All in all, it really is a great game and a brilliant investment in terms of the hours of fun you get for the money. Probably among the best releases of the last 2 decades. Best enjoyed on a Desktop PC with mouse and keyboard (If you play on Deck just dock it to a TV and have an auxiliary mouse for cleaning up inventory every now and then). You should buy it to support developers who actually give a f*ck about players (and seemingly, workers too). 100% free of in-game stores, micro-transactions, or seasonal bs. Should you play with friends, remember you must gather your party to venture forth!

TOTALMENTE RECOMENDABLE!!

PURA BASURA INCONMENSURABLE!!
