Boring, clunky, buggy, and just unimpressive. Supposedly a complete game, but it sure doesn't feel like it. Feels more like an early beta.

Fun for about half an hour. Needs more content and multiplayer.

Over-hyped rubbish. In its current state, not worth $60. Crashes randomly or whenever I try to heal myself. Only getting about 30 FPS when I more than meet their requirements for running on High detail. I can see why this game was delayed for so long. It's just not ready for prime time. CDPR needs to take this game back and work on it some more, because as it is, it feels badly made and unfinished. Wait for some patches and a bargain bin sale.

I thought this game would somehow get better in time. My take on the state of this game in 2020:

Don't waste your time. I was a backer and invested about $500 to help bring this piece of garbage to life. I was sucked in by Richard Garriott's lies and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I had hoped for some of that Ultima and UO nostalgia we all thought we were going to get. If you're hoping for that too, you will leave very disappointed. This game is a bloody mess, with no real point, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat, ♥♥♥♥ graphics for anything made in the last 20 years, and a ton of bugs even after all these years. It may no longer be listed as an early access game, but it sure the ♥♥♥♥ plays like one.

I backed the tabletop this is based off of and I have to say it is one of the best tabletop games I have ever played.

This adaptation of it, however, doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. I'd be surprised if it ever becomes a complete game worth two ♥♥♥♥♥. It's now Tainted Grail: Conquest, and the game is was supposed to be is now just "a three-hour long teaser of the single player campaign". What happened to the game we were supposed to be getting? Who knows.

If you want to experience Tainted Grail, get the tabletop game off Ebay or wherever or wait for it to hit retail (if it ever gets a full retail release). Don't waste your money on this horrible adaptation of it.

Microsoft has been quite the letdown lately with their offerings. This one is "The Forest" meets "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" with a clunky controller-based interface and no real story. There's only about 20 minutes of actual content that's just boring. It's a survival game for small children. Definitely not worth $30 (not at this point anyway). Feels more like a free game or something that should be in the $5 bin. Might give it another go for an hour, but I don't see this growing on me in that time and will probably end up refunding it.

Really beautiful little puzzle solver. I really enjoyed it, but it was less than 3 hours long. There's an achievement for finishing it in 99 minutes, so there you go. I don't want to say too much about it, as there's not a lot to say that won't spoil this short little game. The store page explains the gist of it pretty well.

The art style and world is probably what I found most interesting. Reminds me a bit of Jakub Różalski's 1920+ universe (see Scythe or Iron Harvest) but a little more post-apocalyptic.

Just because it's so short, not sure it's worth $14.99 (price at the time of this review, and I got it cheaper through a Humble Bundle package). Get it on sale sometime.

Plays pretty well whether you use the keyboard or a controller. Personally, I preferred using the controller for this game.

Awesome idea, but just isn't being done well so far. The physics are horrible. Watched an enemy's arm twist round and round in a very unnatural (and impossible for anyone who has bones) way. The weapons don't perform in-game like they do in the preview video. 80% of the time swords slide harmlessly off their armor instead of piercing it. Hell, half the time they don't even pierce bare flesh. Maybe just a scratch. It's just not a very satisfying system as it is right now.

The controls are horrible too. You constantly drop your weapons if you so much as slightly touch the grip button on the Vive controller. Choose the other option of constant grip to hold your weapon, and you will constantly drop them for even slightly not pressing the grip button for half a second. As hard as you have to swing to be effective, it's almost impossible to not press or to maintain a constant press of the grip buttons. There's no room for flexibility at all.

Refunding this while I still can.

Backed on Kickstarter. Very disappointed with end product, but that seems to happen a lot with Kickstarter games.

Crossroads Inn is a really mediocre effort to make what could have been a really great game if the devs could be arsed to try.

On top of that, shortly after launch they introduced a bunch of overpriced DLCs that should have been part of the base game.

It pains me to not recommend this as I backed on Kickstarter. Great concept ruined by short gameplay, wonky controls, and poor knock-offs of real games from the era. Focuses too much on the boring life of a teenage boy being voiced by a woman (Maya Tuttle) trying too hard to sound like an angsty teenage boy, like listening to nails on a chalkboard.

If you want nostalgia, look elsewhere.
