I sat down to play this at dinner last night, and then suddenly it was 2am. (And I'd only eaten half of my dinner.) Wasn't expecting it to be so addictive. Whatever IT is, this game has IT.

I love how you can customize everything about your species/race. It really feels like they are mine (in contrast to the Civilization series, which has gone in the other direction).

I started with 2.0 so I can't comment on the changes or anything, but I am really enjoying where the game is taking me right now. Definitely give it a try. I've noticed that top tier games tend to get a lot more mixed reviews on Steam rather than smaller, indie games, but I think that's just people's expectations varying.

Like Stardew Valley, but less farming and more murder!

Ridiculously addicting, but also very relaxing. I play this when I need escape from my regular life/job.

Early Access Review
This game is brutally unforgiving, it's great! My first game I survived only 12 hours, and my second only 16 hours. Without a map it is very easy to get lost if you wander too far from the nice cabin you've been squatting in.

It's also very intuitive. The only thing I had to look up how to do in guides was melt snow to make drinking water (answer: interact with fire), everything else I was able to figure out on my own. Not having to go through a tutorial or read a big thing about the controls made my first experience with the game very immersive. I love how there's no HUD or other information on your main screen.

I look forward to exploring this game more!

This game feels exactly what I've always imagined 'movies of the future' to be: stories that you interact with. It is extremely well done. The story is simple, but it's the pacing and the way that the details are revealed that makes it work so well. It feels very personal. I found myself caring for these people as if they were my own family.

It took me two hours to go through it, as I missed a couple of clues the first time and had to retrace my steps (darn attic key lol). But at no time did I feel like looking up spoilers/hints. I very much enjoyed exploring and gradually revealing the story.

The audio diary entries that play were well-written and very well-acted. The ending made me tear up. A beautiful love story.

This game is a must if you're interested in games as a medium for storytelling. It reminds me of the game TRAUMA. I hope to see many more games follow in these footsteps.
