Certainly not the ideal way to end the series, yet here we are. The developers took a massive risk by investing their limited resources (stemming from the prequels' poor sales) into a massive revamp of the trilogy's core mechanics in the latter's twilight, and they mostly failed. Still, if you played VLR, you've no reason not to dip your toes into this. At the very least, it offers something truly unique, and the game thus lives and dies by its consequences.
