SOMEBODY PLAY THIS WITH ME

Ultimate Team is an even bigger joke than before, with 97 rated cards handed out like candy to people willing to spend $100 on packs, cheaters who teleport the ball straight into your net, and ♥♥♥♥♥ who pause the game every 2 minutes to make you waste your time.

That's if you can even LAUNCH the game in the first place, I had to use way too many work arounds (uninstalling and reinstalling the anti-cheat over and over, downloading the digital certificate for the anti-cheat, reinstalling the game, etc.) for the game to even OPEN!!!! What other game makes you do an entire obstacle course for the game to even launch in the first place???

The new features are very bare minimum, with the UI being a straight copy of FIFA 22, which was ALSO a straight copy of FIFA 21. How nice. The "hypermotion" technology they advertised seems to just be the exact same thing we've had with old-gen games. The new "power shot" mechanic that they replaced the downward shot with seems alright, although it's super situational and often times a normal shot works perfectly fine. The new "hypermotion" replay seems pretty cool, telling you the speed of the shot and the projected chance of a goal which is pretty neat, but it doesn't always play most of the time which is pretty lame. The new set-piece system is also pretty cool, but the old system worked perfectly fine and the new one just seems kind of gimmicky. That's kind of it though, maybe a few new skill moves, and obviously a roster update, but other than that almost nothing changed from FIFA 22, which is rather pathetic for a whole new title.

The new "highlights" feature for career mode which supposedly allowed you to play key moments in a match sounded extremely interesting and in theory would have made grinding through unimportant matches much more interactive, but instead it was executed so poorly I don't even bother using it. It feels like one of those training drills where you have to beat the defender or intercept a corner or something, and for some reason it doesn't even use my actual squad. I've had players that I've subbed out or even traded a while ago show up in the highlights despite them no longer playing for my actual team.

Volta's the same, outside of like, one new ability thing that let's you jump higher for headers. Pro Clubs is the same as well.

So no, do not buy this game. You're probably better off playing FIFA 15 or Football Manager at this point. Save yourself the trouble unless you really want to see what's "new" in their latest title.
