27hrs: learning the game, as compared to Victoria 2, is much better. Playing as small nations is more fun, especially if you just join larger industrialized markets as an unindustrialized market or vice versa, and eventually build up enough economic advantage to break free and start the cycle again somewhere else. OPB review brings up great points. Haven't jumped into modding, but I imagine some work towards timeline extension, map modding, and otherwise is MUCH easier than it was in Victoria 2.

Improvement to DEFCON, and with a little bit of modding support added to the game and the ability to take territory, this could really be a great game on par with PDX titles.

Honestly, a great game. The only bad experience that ive had, (which was pretty bad) was when I didnt connect to a server in time, due to the fact that my computer IS the system requirements, and got a seven day competitive ban. However, this wasnt the worst part. The worst part was when I submitted an appeal for the ban on grounds that it was kinda silly to ban someone for having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer. The automated response that I got was "All bans are final." essentially. Though im sure that these instances are far and few between, (I hope) Valve really needs to fix its community service by adding trusted members to unban people or something. The community in this game is also kinda toxic, but that's only if you stay in silver rank. It really does clear up and BM'd people go away, and the game is really a boatload of fun.
