It's a relaxing game with a lot to think about with interactions and abilities. If you like drafting in Magic the Gathering, this game is for you. Each new shuffle allows your to try different strategies, though tucking and egg generation seem a bit overpowered compared to food caching and birds of prey. Personally, I enjoy the art and sound design, especially the details and information about the birds. I'm interested in getting the DLC and seeing what new mechanics or balance the additional cards bring.

I personally love this genre of game as they're great in short or long sessions - the "game loops" don't feel tedious and the game does a great job at expanding the story as well as giving you new tasks and tools to complete them. My only fear is there won't be enough content to satiate the craving to play! A fantastic pickup for any catalog.

I like the Historical accuracy, but this games a mess. I was hopeful for the story, but the introduction is fairly linear - you are forced to do mundane tasks to progress, and much of the scripted sequences require you to stealth by enemies that can sometimes be looking at you but not see you, while other moments I can be crouched and they hear/see me a mile away. The swordplay looked fun, but 8 hours in and I still haven't gotten to a place where I can really sink my teeth into the combat. They give you a bow, but then take the reticle away. That isn't accurate to life, that's just a way to ruin gameplay for....what I don't know. Its those kind of clunky mechanics that make the game not fun. And as a game.....there should be SOME fun or excitement.

I was hopeful, but I realized I'd have a more fun time simply playing Skyrim for its freedom, or the Witcher 3 for its story. Both ARE fun and enjoyable, with much more polish to them. If you wan't less fantasy, maybe one of those games like Mordhau or Crusaders Kings can bring that. I cannot recommend this game. However, I think this can be seen as a decent first attempt for the team to see what worked and what didn't and I hope they continue improving it, or perhaps make a better sequel/reboot anything.

This is the most fulfilling game I've added to my Library in a long time, and is probably my GOTY for 2020. SuperGiant's games have always looked fantastic and I truly enjoy the color palette, and style of the game. As for the controls and gameplay, its exact, responsive, and there are a lot of options to change your playstyle up.

This game is tough, but every run is fun in its own right. While each run takes you through the same zones, the layout, enemies, and rewards are everchanging, keeping it fresh. And then there's the Music. THE MUSIC. I'll be honest, I played 3 hours straight trying to win (still no luck!) but when it was time to take a break, I popped in some headphones and started listening to the OST. Darren Korb knocked it out of the park.

I've picked up many games over the years, but none have been as truly satisfying and kept my attention quite like this one. Suffice to say, for me, this game is a Masterpiece. If you do not have this in your library GET THIS GAME.

This game is hard.....the way a game should be. Great atmosphere, great art style, and very fun. Reminds me a bit of xcom, which is a plus.
