Let me start with the following. This isnt a regular RTS. there is no real resource management. all you do is make choices. now, i personally am not a fan of resource management as it gets in the way of any story that might exist in a game, so this was a welcome surprise.

I am not gonna beat around the bush. This might be the best game i have ever played. Not the best cheap game, or the best game i have ever bought for a tenner, the best, period. I have played a lot of story oriented games in my time. Not once have i actually felt this amount of emotion. I felt the struggles of a people that dont even actually exist. I felt a real connection to my family, or to people that betrayed me over the course of the story. Now, not to go into too much detail to not spoil anything, but yeah, storywise, this game is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. there isnt a lot of gameplay (literally just reading and making some choices) but this mechanic is so well made and deep that it makes the entire game worthwile. every decision you make can and will come back to haunt you, no matter which choice you make.

Make choice A? thats authoritarian and dictatorlike. choice B? step in the right direction but is just a cover up for the authoritarian plans you want to put in place. It truly is a never ending storm of ♥♥♥♥ directed towards you and that makes it that much more rewarding when finally, you do manage to get it right. it also makes it that much more bitter when you get it wrong.

overall, i cant really say anything more about the game without spoiling it. Just take my advice, if you are anything like me and you enjoy story driven games, spare your tenner you were saving to get some mcdonalds, instead cook yourself some cheap beans with bacon and get this absolute masterpiece.

Im going to start by adressing the game itself. not the Deluxe or super deluxe edition, just the base game.

If you have never owned the first dirt rally game, and this game is on sale, and you have a good wheel, get this game, full stop.
alot of the tracks and cars are a copy of the first game and therefor you can pretty much play this game by playing the other game. thats why, in my book, 55 euro is way too much, its just a copy after all, with some GT rally cars and the dirtfish track but no sweden.

the main reason why im writing this is on behalf of all the owners of the deluxe edition (and to some extent the base edition.)
to have 2 season passes half a year after the initial release is ridiculously greedy and scummy. loyal fans who purchased the deluxe edition got f*cked over with the later release of the super deluxe which is even more expensive. upgrading to the super deluxe is another 30 quid, which is just spitting in the faces of fans considering that the super deluxe edition is only 15 quid more expensive than the deluxe edition (meanwhile there wasnt a way of purchasing the super deluxe edition at launch).

moreover, its just a copy of their last game. slightly better graphics, more rallycross and thats it, fewer rally tracks (which is the biggest factor in buying this game)

do yourself and the community a favor and get WRC8. maybe codemasters will come to their senses in the future (they wont though)

great game, although fairly disappointed that existing player arent getting the new content for free. we get a 20% discout, but still really disappointed seeing as we paid 50 bucks for the base game which is actually really short. would have liked to see Eidos come up with a system where when you buy more content you get a bigger discount.

If you are looking for buying advice: Get this game. the game itself is a great game, with high replay value. the reason why im giving this game a negative is because im not happy about the way of making money off this game. Not good

fraction of the price of the remaster, be able to ask money for people entering the park, almost all the features.

amazing game. nice is that although its dlc, its a standalone, meaning you dont have to have fc3 main game on your account. its a funny game, with lots of immature humor (i like that alot) and a nice 80's look to the game. your character is very agile, jumping while sprinting jumps around 25-30 meters far, and sprinting is as fast as driving in the normal fc3 game. negative is that the game is launched through uplay(not nice) and even though my pc easily handles the recommended specs (apart from ram, that 4 gb, but thats just enough for recommended) the game doesnt run very smooth on lowest video settings. most of the time it runs on 20-25 fps, while it should just be 60. i dunno if its able to run 60 fps, but 30 fps should be the minimum. so i would say take the recommended specs and +1 everything a bit. so 4 gb ram -> take 6 gb etc.


overall its still a very nice game, an absolute must have!

great game. done really quickly but who cares, its free ffs. this is a game about two friends that love eachother but will never really get a relationship. Spoiler alert! you got 2 girls but neither will get a relationship with you, however you only talk with one. great game.
