Was hyped for this release for a long time. However I am only met with lag, EXTREMELY long server downtime and bugs that should have been fixed way before a full launch. I like the game a lot, and see potential in it. There are just too many factors around it that makes it offputting wich is really tragic.

Even if the servers and connections worked flawless there are just too many bugs in the game to put this out at 35 euro. My recomendation is do not buy this now, wait a couple of months and see what it is like then.

CONTAINS SPOLIERS!

Dark Souls 3 is hands down one of the best games i've ever played. I'll elaborate:

The way the story is told, in a most subtle way, is very intriguing. Just by looking at the world you explore, it tells stories of the past and events that took place in a distant or near past. Character dialogue is sometimes hard to make sense of, I think, but it serves the same purpose and has the same goal with setting the story as the world building has. They don't give you much information, but together with exploration and reading item descriptions, it lets you make an own interpretation of the story. This game is so carefully made, that even in the smallest of details, like the engraving on a helmet, you can find clues to the story.

Depending of how aware you are when playing, and how much time you spend on looking at the details, the story unfolds. What I find really amazing is how each and every player can make their own interpretation, and not even the most ambitious lore-seekers of Dark Souls can be sure of all events and characters of the game.

Gameplay is amazing. The weapons handle very differently according to the weight and style. You can feel the weight of your weapon, almost like you are holding it yourself, and the differences make for very different and unique playstyles. The hitboxes are on point, I haven't experienced frustration at any time over missing an attack that should have hit, or being hit by something that should have missed, etc.

The difficulty of Dark Souls, is in my opinion, overexaggerated. There are so many tools to help you defeat every enemy in the game. Every enemy is weak to something, and extra strong at something. Find the weakness and exploit it, and find it's power and counter it. It's more strategy than gameplay in most cases, wich for me is the fun part. Finding new equipment always wants me to check out it's stats and consider in what situation I can use it best.

The visuals are stunning. The moment when I left the Catacombs of Carthus, emerging from a dark tunnel, all I saw was light. The closer to the end of the tunnel I got, I saw how this beautiful city appeared in front of me and I just gazed at it for minutes. The animations are also really well made. My favorite one is the Dancer of the Boreal Valley, she moves so elegantly you don't even want to kill her. The game also runs at a solid 60fps on my GTX 970.

Last but not least, the sound. There is music in this game that is so beautiful and entrancing it got me killed on some boss fights. The ambient sound of wind as you ascend Anor Londo, or how the fire sparks in the bonfire, to indicate safety and warmth. The sounds affiliated with gameplay is also good. You can really hear how your sword pierces the flesh of your enemy.

All together, Dark Souls is not just a game, it's a world that you can't get enough of. The more you play the more new things you discover. Answers to your questions only raise new ones.

I wholeheartedly recommend this game!

Downsides: REMOVE STORM RULER, casuls! :D

Favorite game on the phone but i thought the FPS for the PC version would be better? I get dizzy and get a headache when playing this game on PC. And why can I not sync my progress from my phone? Think twice before buying it for PC, because in the state it is in right now, you're better off playing on your phone.

Definetaly a game worthy of your time.

However it has the same flaws as the first one: the textures are really poor on some objects and the animations are also poorly made and can make some scenes look silly.

The whole "Story is tailored by your decisions" isn't well made eaither, just as the first game. If you replay it (once is enough) you actually understand that your choices makes a very little difference, the story plays out almost exactly the same way. Example (from the first game):

When you are to "decide" wheter to leave the motel or not you have two decisions: stay or leave. If you leave you leave, if you choose stay, the NPCs make a vote of their own and you leave anyway. So why make me choose in the first place?

Other than that it's a good game and it is absolutely worth to try.
