is this normal for book club?

At first it was like "WOAHHHHHH" and then it was like "DAAAAAAAAMN" BUT THEN IT WAS LIKE "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

I went on an hour-long journey to find moonshine so I could pass a speech check. after the long and arduous trek across every known location where moonshine could possibly be in the mojave, I collected so much XP that I managed to just level up my stats enough to where I didn't even need the moonshine. when I returned to the NPC who I needed the check for, I locked him in a pantry only to find out I was too stupid to cook the recipe I got from him.

Did I ever tell you about this one time my buddy Kieth and I tried to go to India by wrappin' around the world by sailin' the Ocean in the opposite direction? Turns out there's some more land out West, but we didn't know that at the time and he thought that we must have been in India so he tried tradin' with the natives. He tried speakin' Spanish to them cause we thought everyone knew how to speak Spanish but they just looked at him all confused-like. Anyway after a while he was startin' to get all angry and tried fightin' their leader. There was stab wounds on 90% of his body. I just stayed back and started on walkin' around like I owned the place and eventually they just stopped caring I was there
