Recently, I've become a fan of HOG and Darkarta is one of those games that caught my attention and provided me to get into this genre. The aim in the game can be familiar but the storytelling and the way of blending it with Indian mythology is noticeable. The puzzles and mini games are enjoyable, relevant to the story and there is not repetition. After you finish the game, there is also a small extension of the story that you can play.

The character design, concept art and graphics are obvious that they were created detailed enough. The cinematics are OK; but they could be livelier. The music and soundtrtack are well-designed. The voice acting is good; however there are some moments that the protagonist's voice doesn't have the exact emotion and her tone is irrelevant. There is an extra section on the menu that you can find a comic book about the story, soundtrack, wallpapers and all the puzzles and mini games that you passed before. You can play them again.

So, I recommend Darkarta both to the fans of this genre and those who want to get into this genre.

I nominated this game for "I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award" Maybe this category may need more unpopular games but I think it deserves to be here. Even though the publisher of this game is very famous, few people know about this game. I don't understand why it is underrated.

I haven't read The Darkness comic book series but I think it is a great adaptation. The graphichs give the taste of comic books very well. Combination of guns and special powers give you a comfortable and an enjoyable gameplay. There is nice use of darkness and light which is a key element in the game. The game has different settings although it has a short scenario. I wish it was longer. Balanced action with humour and psychological referral, very good voice acting and nice characters and I think there is no more to say.

I've had enough. This game brought me the edge of my patience. Although I like the post-apocalyptic genre, this game sucks at "survival" concept. If I had wanted to play a platform game, I wouldn't have played this. I agree that the game has new things like limited ammo, strategical choice of killing enemies, stamina etc. But it shouldn't have been based on just climbing and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stamina.

Soundtrack and ambience music are cool; however that tension track whenever stamina decreases made me sick. Let's continue with the camera angles and character movements which were unsatifactory. It was hard to focus on enemy sight and game controls generally reacted late. Checkpoints saves were terrible. Although having retries when helping victims seems a good idea, losing all of them causes you to start over the chapter.

The game setting was very good but those blurry graphics do not appeal to me. The story was cliche but I wasn't on that point actually. Sorry "I Am Alive", I really wanted to love you.

Suddenly, I realized that I missed this game so much. I have never gotten pleasure from the other online multiplayer fps like this game. A nice sequel of the WW2 series. I feel very lucky to play this game in time when it was released and take part in the gaming cafe events.

"Will this ever end?" "That taste... that fragrance... Damascus rose!"

Still the scariest survival horror game for me. This is not a horror type like firing off all the ammo when having a momentarily fear. Even the loading screen was enough to tense psychologically. It managed to become my nightmare along with CoC:DCotE and Clive Barker's Undying.

A character awaking in a 19th century Prussian castle and remembering nothing but his name... Great story with Lovecraftian elements (like losing sanity) ambience and gameplay with adventurous features. We follow the story with flashbacks and diary entries. The game has different endings which we can choose. Interacting with objects, voice acting, artwork and Mikko Tarmia's soundtrack for the game are really nice. I like the engine used in game which is more advanced version used in Penumbra series. I hope graphics will be better in the next game.

This game is very special for me and will be a great experience for every player.
