Easily both my favorite and most played game on Steam. It achieves the best balance between macro and micro within the colony by enabling systems to be established to which a colony will largely run itself, while allowing me to get invested in the individual lives and relationships of the pawns. As much as I love the base game, one of my favorite aspects of the game is it's mod-ability. Rimworld features a robust workshop section that is constantly generating new and enjoyable material. I will say that although I am generally not a fan of DLCs, as they become the norm for most games Rimworld has managed to provide unique and interesting additions with each of theirs that I feel genuinely improve the game by adding new systems which enhance role playing and replayability. 10/10 would recommend to a friend
