Runs fine via proton. A bit buggy sometimes but fun anyway

Great game.
The beta was fun and I'm really looking forward to the new units and tactics that will come with the full version.

I have played this on the free Weekend. 13.Mai-15.Mai 2016

TL;DR : Wanted to try it out for 2 hours -> Realise it is 8am.
I love this game and I will now buy it.

I do not understand all the negtive reviews of people who spend 0.3 hours on the game and are now crying about how the game sucks. Here is my experience:

But first a few things I learned (the hard way):
Abandoned mine = nightmare fuel.
Parking underwater = broken vessel
Don't try building a capital vessel on a planet. And do not land before you save. Without a ton of thrusters( and energy) your CV will be forever stranded.

1. Try: Land on Akua. See dude with spear. Walk up to him trying to communicate. He does not react.
See alien creature. Shoot at it. Spear dude and creature attack and kill me.

2. Try: Still no Idea what I am doing. So i follow the turorial. Tutorial freezes. ♥♥♥♥.
So after about 15 minutes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around I find out I have to place the O2 gen in water. Could have read the instructions but I am an idiot. Anyway I started over

3. Try: My base looks like a piece of excrement but it works and has a cannon. I still have not found magnesium and I am low on ammo (meaning my turrent has 150 and my handgun 10 rounds).
I embark on my treacherous journey to find magnesium and run from any dangers. I finally find a nice untouched Magnesium deposit. 50m from a hostile space port and 200m from a hostile ComCenter.
-> get shot to pieces.
New Approach: Underwater then tunnel.
Well it worked but took forever.

A loot later I have my first small vessel. I park it underwater and go loot an abandoned mine. Bad idea.
I shall never speak of the horrors I have witnessed down there. My little space man is emotionally scarred forever.
Anyway back to my vessel. Well apparently the waterpressure or whatever dammaged everything. The cockpit is gone. Go home get new cockpit fly the vessel home but the rcs is gone too. Dismantle the cobbled together piece of crap and build an amored version.


Now I am working on my 300 Meter long Battle Barge.

10/10 would play again.

Very fun game.

I only have two things I dislike:

1. Spears and pikes are far to weak. Historically they would be decent in duels and amazing in a phalanx. In this game spearmen just get slaughtered (Unless you get a mod)

2. Lacks the "End him rightly" technique.

Needs more goats.

Its really fun to play. The factions are well balanced imo (the team who is better as vamps is also better as humans most of the time) but even if the balance was off it wouldn't really matter since the teams get swapped after one round. When it comes to the store, well you can get everything which impacts gameplay with ingame currency. You can buy the items either for 7 days or permanent, which is great since it gives you the opportunity to try stuff out before spending alot of money.
Really a game worth spending some money on.
Don't really have anything negative to say.
