Cannot recommend (and it was free in the free weekend).
Its not as bad as Aliens: Colonial Marines. But it feels like someone said lets make a generic Sci Fi game and then cut a few corners. There was potential, but IMO it missed the mark.

I was expecting open worlds, and often ran into invisible walls.
I was expecting a FPS/RTS hybrid, I found a average FPS with a squad mechanic.
I was considering buying it at launch, but am now very glad I said I have enough unplayed games.

If you like Halo 1,2,3,4, Reach or ODST your childhood will thank you for picking this up.

If you haven't played a Halo then its a standard FPS. Nothing ground breaking for people who live and breath PC FPSs. Where this game shines though is the COOP (max 2 or 4 players depending which specific game) and the custom games which just good tom foolery.
Also if you want a FPS multiplayer (excluding Halo 4) that you don't have to grind out to get top tier weapons are equipment but just play, then this is probably a game for you.

Good fun alone or with friends, but better with friends. If you like COOP, zombies FPS games you cant go far wrong here.
