i am still deeply impressed with the game.
if you have friends to play with that loves shooters this is hilarious. think of yourself as evil henchman number 512. you're going to get dropped into a combat, and the wrong place and die. then you land again, heroically murder all the enemies and die to friendly fire.

on top the game has a ton of small interesting way of doing things, and is constantly improved and the story/challenges changes all the time.

base game is awesome and challenging. just stay away from the dlc's

things needed to play this game:
- active clan of at least 20 plus people.
- 6 players that runs with you as a squad to protect you.
- expert at warband/ for honor style of melee combat.

if you don't have this then you will find the game to be a pleasant crafting game up to the point where squads of russians blasting music at peak volume comes rushing in and breaking everything you spent days building.

Remember takashi's castle? or maybe wipeout?
this game is like those but you got 60 bouncy little jellybeans trying to get that crown.

first time playing a dirt rally game.
i'll say a massive plus is how beautiful and great the game feels.
if you're into rally this really is a gem.

what killed it for me is the lack on a introduction and the co-driver voice pitch.

IF you buy this game be prepared to sit down and watch a youtube video or read an article on what rally calls are cause you'll be getting "4 left tighten into a left 2 crest right 5 30 blind right 2 continues" before you actually start.
And that brings me to what makes me stop. P.Mills voice is way to calm and low pitched to be heard over the lancia's engine alot of the time, which meant i often looked at the guides at the top and missed very important comments like "keep right" and went rolling off the road.

the story is amazing. you will very much enjoy this if you like the idea of creating your own movie.
the repeatability falls of very quickly though.

games fun for about 3-4 hours.

cons:

Too many weapons with over 43 different rifles/pistols you will never find the ammo you need.

You can log out with everything you own and your char will be safe so base building is pointless.

The crafting menu is horrible and belongs in pre-alpha. need to make a foundation for a base? well then you got 3 drop down menus before you find it.

base building is badly designed and building even a small base takes well over 3 hours.

The only sounds are people running and mobs reacting to you.

after 4 hours the map feels tiny.

pros:
killing players is insanely easy and noone will know who shot them.

Quite fun. well made, 9 maps in campaign, 8 horde maps (endless) worth buying on sale

worth giving a try if you like grindy mmo, super cool armor and dark souls style combat. also you're repeatedly beating monsters to death, what's not to like.
