I've had a negative review on this game for a while now, mainly for the same reason people have been pushing the whole FixTF2 movement.

But...I'd be lying if I said this game didn't have a huge impact on my life. I've built a community around this game that would soon turn into the tightest group of friends I've ever had, and I've had the privilege of actually meeting some of them in real life. And I have Team Fortress 2 to thank for that.

So you can imagine how it feels when there are literal criminals running rampant on Valve's official TF2 servers. These people host sniper aimbots which flood every server and votekick practically anyone that isn't a bot, and if anyone speaks out against them, they are doxxed, DDoSed, swatted, etc.

And Valve has done absolutely nothing to remove these literal cockroaches from their platform. To add salt to the wound, they are still monetizing this game.

It's not going to take long until this bleeds into other Valve titles as well. I fear the worst for CS2 and L4D2. I only hope Deadlock doesn't follow the same fate either.

Update 8/2/24: Valve took notice; After a near global backlash and a petition with over 343,000 signatures, Valve finally took action. Ban waves of these bots came in the thousands, we got constant fixes to weapons and mechanics that were in the game for far too long than they should have been, and most importantly the game still stands strong, even when the bots were in full swing. I only hope Valve keeps this up. We can't let Valve abandon what PC gamer has called "The most fun you can have on PC"
