Played the first one, really enjoyed it.

I've softlocked myself seemingly pretty hard on this one and I've even put it down to the easiest difficulty. I know, a skill issue... But come on. I wish there was more "nudging" into what the heck I should be doing.

Ignore babbies complaining it's "too hard". In the beginning you'll get fudged quite a bit, just like basegame. The gameplay loop is turned up to 11 in this DLC. Similar premise, except ya gotta git gud. I was fighting the angry boy and squid at the same time at the very end because I thought I could beat the time, but got locked into fighting both in a very small area.

Needless to say, I pwnt em both thanks to the singularity generator, an electricity turret, a handful of fully upgraded heals, and a prayer.

Highly recommend if you enjoyed basegame. Well worth your time. Also, the ending is so incredibly satisfying. I really hope Alawar expands on this IP. I really want more of go up go down minecraft :^)

Insanely well balanced game that you'll die a few times in. If you git gud and understand the rhythm, you'll have a fantastic time. If you're easily discouraged from dying a handful of times, this might not be the game for you.

Highly recommend either way.

There's still quite a bit of crashes atm.

You might want to hold off purchasing this game despite all the hype. Playing 40 minute missions only to have it crash is NOT fun.

Goated. Not as replayable as say HALO, but it's better imo.

Just finished the game. Solid 8.9/10

Minor clipping issues near the tunnels under the big flaccid mouth dude (I called him Michael. He's not as cute as turtleboy from the beginning with the scooper). Wasn't a fan of the checkpoint for the mechanical baby bosses restarting at the beginning after I shot the side flaps.

The ending was a twist I probably should've seen coming, but overall loved every single second of it (even though I did get a bit frustrated). Would definitely recommend if you want a unique and one-of-a-kind experience.

Level design could use some work. I feel locked into my choices for flanking and when I run into too much trouble (bad luck of too many enemies), I feel like I can't recover.

Granted I know it's not supposed to be CoD or Battlefield, I think there' too many similarities not to compare them. If you want satisfying gunplay and less BS that either of those games have, but its own flavor of "wtf", this is a good game to play for a while.

Now in Open Beta, I believe the ability to customize your guy + progress will be added on, making grinding for stats more rewarding.

Don't worry about the review bombs, that's just people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about servers. Happens like clockwork. Buncha clowns with clown shoes clown makeup and a lil red bubble nose honking around everywhere they go.

Can't seem to get the viewport to work. It flickers at a very fast rate (almost possibly seizure inducing if there's intense contrast colors but there aren't thankfully) every single mouse move I make. Updated drivers several times but it doesn't seem to fix itself. A real shame because I feel this software is super powerful.

A buddy started up a server for us and some others to play on and this game is an absolute BLAST!

Yeah there's a ton of games out there with minimalistic or simple art styles, but I feel what sets this game apart from others is the bar it sets. It's consistent and simply put: it works. I've experienced very minimal complaints at my time of writing this (6 hrs in, beat first boss, almost explored starting island underground area).

Those complaints are:
- desync from players entering boats/minecarts - can easily be fixed by entering exiting again.
- bosses shooting projectiles through walls. I'd at least have it so your homebase can't get shot through or at the very least have projectiles hit walls and do damage to them and they eventually break so you can't cheese.

I honestly can't wait to hop back on and continue exploring to see what else this game has to offer! 8.5/10 would recommend for exclusively yourself or with friends! If you're looking for others to play with, hmu! Really excited to see this game hit 1.0, whenever that'll be. :)

Bonus points for gigabrain copy+paste feature for base managing on villagers.
EXTRA bonus points for cute art style (I freakin' love the summons lmao)
