I would say this entry in the yakuza series is as good as 3, the gameplay is a bit sluggish at times just like before but I didn't really mind it considering its a product of it's age. All the new character's that were introduced were equally as bad ass and amazing as Kiryu, especially Akiyama-san lol,I would give the game a solid 8.5/10.

WHY didn't I play this game earlier?? TT
After being let down by Cyberpunk 2077 I was on the search for the that "Sci-fi experience" so I started trying out older cyberpunk games but Deus ex mankind divided wasn't it either, so I decided to go further back and HR was the sci-fi experience I was looking for, it surely has it's fair share of problems with it's gameplay and also the AI being dumb but the narrative was nothing short of amazing, Adam Jensen is a bad ass mf lmao.
It's crazy how we keep looking forward to new games and are constantly disappointed despite there already being older games like this just waiting for us to experience! A solid 8.5/10.

Love this game, from the artstyle to the music to the Interesting characters, I don't like to compare games but i kinda prefer this to cyberpunk 2077 because this actually is a finished and complete product.
I'm currently finishing the main campaign and will soon get it's DLC :))
(also the dev is really nice and responds fairly quickly to problems/glitches etc)

Hands down the best Yakuza game in the entire series, from the gameplay to the visuals to the cinematography, it nails everything perfectly. It is no longer held back by the archaic hardware of the ps4

My game time itself should say a lot about how much I love this game, this is PEAK yakuza, the best one in the entire series!

I was gonna wait till i finish the game to write a review but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it's so packed with content that i haven't even scratched it's surface even after 37+ hours. The story, the characters, the absolute banger of a soundtrack, the amount of hilarious and engaging side content is just the perfect recipe for an amazing game.
(I never thought I'd like a game with turn based combat but now I'm in love with it, just get it!!)

A very good sci-fi action narrative with minor rpg elements that desperately needs a sequel to reach it's full potential - 8/10 left me wanting more out of night city. phantom liberty is a 9/10 tho.
