I can recognize the game for being new and very good for it's time but it definitely aged like milk, very repetitive and at times clunky, don't even get me started on the final 30% of the game where all you do is constantly fight dozens and dozens of enemies one after the other, that truly ruined the whole experience for me, tho I can see it's appeal in the open world, albeit the 3 cities almost feel the same just with minor differences and a coat of filter slapped on, they felt believable. Ubisoft has always been good at crafting great worlds (and nothing else) I enjoyed the first 10 or so hours of the game but it just goes downhill from there, also no subtitles and proper controller support had me fixing the game with mods,
Assassin's Creed 1 was a pretty awful experience but still sorta impressive at the same time for a 2007 game
here's hoping AC2 is actually good.

SOTTR is a fun game at times when it's not bogged down by its pacing and awkward dialogues, the game looks incredible and exploring tombs was very fun, the vegetation in the game looks jaw droppingly good.
If the Paititi section was shortened (or imo removed in it's entirety) the game would be a 7.5/10, but unfortunately i will have to give it a 6/10. (also minus points for forcing you to wear one type of outfit for like 50% of the game)

i played this religiously thru ahem..various means back in the day, i thoroughly enjoyed every moment with it, minus some optimization issues.

Truly one of the greatest titles of R*, I first played it as a kid and didn't appreciate the subtle things and how deep and thoughtful the story is, after playing red dead 2 this feels like R*'s first attempt at a "Real" game, as it story wise, it felt so realistic, gritty and dark. I understand and relate to Max's addiction and self loathing problem more after going thru a degree of similar things in my life. The music was a 10/10, gonna look more into HEALTH and their music.
A Masterpiece 10/10

They don't make experimental games like this anymore, was it a good game? no. but it tried to be very unique and can be considered a "bad good video game"

The Gunk is definitely a mixed a bag, I enjoyed it as much as I found it infuriating at times, as an artist myself I appreciate the work that went into the world, props, character design but not so much in the gameplay department, level designs were too simple at times and hence it gets repetitive later on, don't get me wrong I did enjoy my short time with it but wouldn't recommend it outside of the really pretty world building (bonus points for a pretty good UI design), I got it at a discount so I won't complain much.
