EA ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that other sim cities games with a lot of incompetence and too many lies.
this is the new sim city, and it stayed like that for a decade.

board game sandbox

good for rapid prototyping of even the silliest board game ideas (but beware eula license agreement for serious potentially commercial projects)

IF you have your regular private group., TTS is great to play ANY board game, RPG especially,
otherwise. waiting for interested strangers to join a table can be a waste of time. (steam groups and social pages help find interested others)

check the steam workshop for its "most famous" workshop items, and search it for items by name/genre to see if this game can play that board game, and how famous it is. most boardgames exist within TTS.

great for playing collective card games. Magic The Gathering and many other deck building games are played often.

good for playing coop boardgames.

decent to play games that require voice chat.

better for card games than for games that require many non-card-tokens.

bad for boardgames with complex rules.

since TTS has no scripting-support, breaking the board games rules (and cheating) is way too easy (even unintentionally), for better or worse.
