Sony wants us to link a PSN account despite the game working perfectly fine without it. Community Manager on Discord says to leave a negative review if you disagree with it.

EDIT: Sony walked it back, for now at least. Great game, and with that out of the way, there should be nothing holding players back from enjoying it. Shouldn't be region locked anymore from places that don't require PSN accounts.
