Remember when in Dark Souls 2 the monastery scimitar was broken and had 0 frames of startup on its parry animation? That's the main mechanic in this game, except when you land it, the enemy doesn't stop attacking, so you need to do about eight in a row.

In this game you are a little pixelated man who fights everything while jumping over bottomless pits, spikes, and lava.
