one of the best F2P games out there imo, i have more hours on my phone, but yeah, it's pretty solid!
only thing that really sucks is when someone you're playing against someone in conquest and they're losing so they stall for as much as they can. if you do this please consider a different video game.

just a disclaimer, these are my opinions and if you disagree it's not a big deal!
2K24 is definitely a step in the right direction, but i'm unsure if it's worth 60 big ones.

positives:
- new match types, well kinda. special ref has returned and it's pretty fun ngl. the casket match is kinda whatever, i would've preferred something like smackdown vs raw's buried alive matches but maybe that's just me. the ambulance match was only ever featured in a DS game, so it's pretty much brand new, it's definitely more fun than the casket match imo.
- roster is pretty stacked, good balance between current day peeps and legends. on top of that we're getting an ECW dlc (FINALLY) so that's pretty cool!
- MyRise is playable this year! this might just be a me thing, but i couldn't stand the protagonist in the men's storyline last year and i just didn't have a good time with the women's either. i've already completed the men's and i'm working on the women's at the moment. both stories have actual likable characters this year! woo!
- MyFaction is... good? there's this preconceived notion that MyFaction is pay to win and i have to say, that couldn't be further from the truth. i've sunk maybe 30 hours in MyFaction and haven't spent a single cent on the mode, the game gives you tons of freebies from showcase mode and MyRise that you can use, plus with Faction Wars you can get an absurd amount of cards just by doing multiple runs. not to mention, the game gives you currency for buying new packs. spending money in this mode is absolutely a choice and not required. i do have to say, the mode is pretty grindy, but it's not like you have to play it, it's definitely worth a shot though.
- MyGM is full of brand new stuff. a lot of stuff, such as power cards, have been reworked and balanced that make them less of a crutch, but still somewhat useful. new GMs like paul heyman and teddy long are pretty sick too, plus we get ECW as a brand this year!
- blood is insane this year, gets on the mat and stuff, looks brutal!
- ken shamrock is in the game.

negatives:
- online is abysmal, i've had multiple matches where counters and kick outs just straight up don't register. matches are extremely laggy, reversal prompts feel like they show up for a single frame and disappear, it's just kind of a mess. granted, i don't play wrestling games for the online so this isn't a huge deal to me personally, but i know some people do, so this felt good to mention.
- showcase mode is extremely underwhelming. i'm kinda ripping on this mode the most due to it being the most advertised part of the game. a lot of notable wrestlemania matches are missing due to wrestlers working for other companies. this was expected, but the match selection they ended up going with was kinda lame imo. you'd think at the very least they'd have one match for every wrestlemania, but that's unfortunately not the case. you get 21 matches with this mode and to be honest, they're just not very fun to play through. i don't know why they decided splicing in footage from the real match in the middle of a match you're playing was a good idea, but i really miss the QTEs that 2K14 had in it's wrestlemania showcase mode. when they do show the real life footage, most of it is blurred and it's extremely distracting. i'm pretty sure in one of the first matches you play, they blur mean gene in the footage despite it very clearly being him. you couldn't just pay his family? as i mentioned earlier, the matches just aren't very fun to play through, they give you an absurd amount of objectives. is it really necessary to get my opponents body to red just for you to show me real life footage to end the match anyway? half the time it feels like you're just playing to get to the next cutscene. in a perfect world we'd have 39 matches for each wrestlemania and wwe would pay aew the rights to use some of their wrestlers for the game.
- universe mode feels untouched. what's new right? i'm having fun with superstar mode but i've completely given up on sandbox mode.
- not a ton of new stuff for CAWs. some new hair, but that's about it.
- they did dusty rhodes soooo dirty.

the positives definitely outweigh the negatives, but i'm still not sure it's worth 60 smackaroos. don't get me wrong, it's fun and i'm having a blast with it, but i don't know if it's worth what they're charging. i also understand it's a yearly release and they have to pump these games out fast, but i kinda wish they'd focus on more new match types, the ones they added are definitely a step in the right direction.

certified hood classic
jokes being removed/out of place aren't really that big of a deal to me but if you want to play the 2007 version, it's available as dlc (for free). this was my first telltale game, i had the original on the wii and it introduced me to sam and max. i was a dumb little kid and a lot of the jokes went over my head, i'm glad i came back to it as an adult. i love the funny doggy and his homosexual bunny lover.

pure unadulterated kino
lots of games hit you with the whole "choices matter" shtick, but in the end none of them really matter. TWAU is different, you gotta choose your battles carefully cause certain decisions can come back to bite you or even sometimes assist you. this is my personal favorite telltale game, i can't recommend it enough.

played this for 30 minutes and i don't think i'll be picking it back up.
now i'm not saying the borderlands series is known for it's superb writing, but the other games are definitely written better than what i played.
dialogue is extremely dragged out for some reason, it feels like when you're writing a paper for a class and you're trying to bump the word count up to meet the paper's requirements.
it doesn't really feel like it's predecessor either, from what i played it's just a bunch of QTEs with a little walking around. i know it's supposed to feel like a telltale game, but it fails to achieve that imo.
this probably would've worked better as a mini-series for netflix or something, because there's not tons of gameplay or freedom of choice.
