A veteran gamer of 34 years, and am proud to be from one of the most culturally diverse, democratic and free nations in the world.

My main genre of games I play are war based (18th - 21st Century, some medieval), and can be FPS, Strategy, Grand Strategy, Real time,Turn based, single or multiplayer. Although war is my main "bent", I enjoy playing a wide variety of genre's.

Collecting games, is one of my favourite pastimes - apart from playing them. If there is a collection on sale, I've usually got my shopping cart in hand :P

..oh, and I'm an Eary Access/Beta Groupie....yep it's all about seventies music and getting a virtual high....

Ultimate General: Gettysburg

- Highly Recommended Title -

One of the best strategy titles I own, and one of the best games developed to date. UG:Gettysburg is a lesson on what to do right. Immersive game-play, stunning visuals (just love the little puffs of gun-smoke), a dedicated dev team whom engaged frequently with the steam community throughout duration of early access and developed a game, for gamers. It also has a fantastic multiplayer experience. Out of the two civil war titles I own (Battleplan: American Civil War, is the other) its the best, but B:ACW is still a fine game in it's own right.

UG:Gettysburg - a must have for war strategists and armchair generals.

Hi, NightMorph! Freeman Guerrilla Warfare is an Ok game. It's mount&blade in a modern, east Europe setting (think Ukraine or Yugoslavia civil wars). The FPS part is Ok, you can control units in a RTS way. The strategic part of the game feels lackluster imo. Factions are not very fleshed out, and many nuances of modern warfare are discarded (it feels exactly like M&B). An early version had vehicles, but those were discarded, which was a very bad decision if you ask me.

There's mod support, but I haven't seen much activity. I'd give it a 7/10.
