My plan is painted stuff -> stuff -> metal -> keys -> really cool unusual. I will gladly buy your stuff with my stuff, but I generally don't buy items with pure keys/metal (though I sometimes give pure as change with items for keys).

I take keys, metal, clean unpainted items (downgrading mine), taunts, stranges, parts, paints in the can. I do NOT take games, killstreak items (unless Australium), fabricators, stranges w/parts (unless you don't count parts; I just have trouble reselling stranges with parts for value). If you are trading high-value items (stuff worth 5-100+ keys) for lots of my painted stuff, you are likely to get a discount; the higher the value of your item, the higher the discount for my painted stuff.

I use http://backpack.tf for pricing. If your backpack is private, it makes trading take longer and less likely for success since I will have to manually look up prices rather than view your backpack there. You can change your backpack visibility in your profile privacy settings. Set your inventory to "public" and check if backpack.tf can view your inventory. If so, great success!

Painted items prices are generally item plus half price paint in the can (some higher prices are rounded down).

No, I am not giving away free stuff. If you ask, I will say "no". If you ask again, I will unfriend you. :-\

I often have a trade bot running to automatically accept trade offers using pure keys/metal. Prices and items can be viewed at my backpack.tf profile page [backpack.tf]. If you use Steam Trade Offers with the exact amount listed, the bot will automatically complete the steam offer. However, the amount given must be the exact keys and/or metal. (For example, an item is listed at 1 key + 5 ref, you must offer exactly 1 key and 5 ref and not 5 ref + the current price of a key in ref; if you do this, I will have to accept the offer manually whenever I am next available.)

If you want to trade, state your business directly. Say in chat something to the effect of, "Hey! I'm looking to get your X for my Y. Can you do that?" This will likely get a response from me if I am available. If you just say, "Hey!", I am unlikely to respond even if I'm around unless I am relaxing (which isn't often). Repeat with, "Are you there?", "Hello?", "Hi!" and so on does not help. It is best to just directly state what you want including both what you have to trade and what you want in return.

I trade with lots of people all the time. Every once in a while, I hit my Steam "friends" count limit. When that happens, I have to unfriend someone. I generally pick people who haven't been online in a while. But if that isn't enough, I will pick random people to unfriend. If I unfriend you, please don't take offense; you just happened to be the random person who got the click. You can always re-friend me to trade again. I love repeat buyers and re-friending is totally cool (unless you are a whiny baby, in which case I won't friend you back).

Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to trade with everyone you meet!
