Dependendo do seu Modem da para mudar os valores do MTU e MSS.


MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.

MSS = 1452
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising your MTU value.

é a melhor combinação para conexão PPoE se utilizar um roteador. Se é conexão direta deixe o MTU com 1500

Troque o seu servidor dns para um publico como:
8.8.8.8 ou 8.8.4.4

Muitas vezes o lag ocorre não pela conexão e sim por causa de sua placa de video e seu computador. Isso mesmo. Deixe o FPS do jogo fixo como o comando fps_max 60 ou 40. Veja qual é o melhor para vc. Tem funcionado muito bem aqui.
