Remember Warcraft 3?
Do you miss the story rich RTS campaigns of the old?
Are you waiting for something like Warcraft 4 or Starcraft 3?

Yeah, thats never happening, blizzard died in 2013, this is the next best thing. Play it for the campaign.

If you've never played a musou game, this is the one to try.
If you haven't played one in a while, this is the one to come back to.
If you have musou fatigue, understandable, but you still need to play this.

+ Visuals, art style, presentation is brilliant
+ The hack/slash is just premium with familiar and new mechanics
+ Campaign is pretty good, character depth/perspectives like never done before with a lot of familiar VAs
+ Lots and lots of replayability
+ Character designs are really one of the best in the entire series
+ Music, bgms
+ PC port is great
+ Valve Regional prices

- Only Japanese VA, only a problem when its difficult to read and play at the same time at tight situations, but you can replay the entire conversation in the menu during the mission
- Basic movesets are attached to weapon types rather than characters. So 2 characters using a katana would have most of the same moves except for a few that are unique to the character. The musou animations are unique to the characters and with those few unique moves, it barely makes 2 character play and feel differently. So it cuts down the roster in half in terms of unique playstyles. But If you only play with some of the characters that you really like, like myself, rather than every single one of the 50+ characters of the previous games, then it shouldnt be a deal breaker.

80's action sci-fi: The game

Been following this from the beginning since it was called Umbra and even then its prime appeal was its visuals, but has come a long way in all other aspects. This is another underrated aRPG only held back with minor bugs and unstable online experience. But I would highly recommend for an offline single player playthrough atm, thats completely fine.

The classes are unrestricted, you could mix up almost everything at any point of the game
Hack/slash mechanics are cool, fun and satisfying
Fully voiced and cinematic campaign, no reading
The campaign/story is pretty good for an aRPG
The cosmetics and skins are free and fully customizable,
Reliable, game is constantly updated with content

A bit grindy or a lot to play, depending on your perspective
No manual saves
Inventory is small, requires you to teleport to town much often, but to compensate that its easy and fast
Visuals are demanding, might bug out during a cinematic on high settings, happened to me once but got back to it right away, no harm done

All in all, its a premium aRPG but just avoid playing online for now.

DegenerGate 3. Made by degenerates, for degenerates. Avoid

Must play adventure sports game, Steep offers a unique experience thats very rare or non existent and basically very fun and even more with a friend. Since Riders Republic isn't going to come to steam, this is it and no brainer on a discount.

+ Controls and mechanics are easy to use, k/m and controller
+ Loads of content
+ Smooth build, lightweight, no bugs or glitches. Its been 5 years since release so yeah expected.
+ Very relaxing, turn up your music playlist and enjoy

- Always online, would cut out during unstable connectivity, but can be played offline after
- Fixed dynamic camera, might be difficult to maneuver through trees in the toughest tracks
- When using a controller, the tricks are bound to the left stick, the same as movement. So when not careful, it will trigger a spin when you're just trying to turn on a jump. Very rage inducing on tough tracks.

Very Underrated aRPG

+Great VA, Lady Katarina never lets you get bored
+Good story and characterization, fun take on the Van Helsing lore
+Music
+ Final cut is 3 games + DLC in one, can be tiresome or a lot to play depending on your perspective
+Decent looking for ~2015
+Props to the devs for allowing keyboard movement, saves my mouse's life, which almost every aRPG game ignores
+Fun easter eggs

-Loot moderation is fine, but Legendary/unique/Godlike items are almost non existent for a casual play-through.
-Not sure if it's just me but I found Bounty Hunter the right and the most fun class to play with.

Highly recommend for a single player diablo-like aRPG game.

Double the price of Shadow Tactics at release. 10-20x on a sale day
