It's a fairly interesting concept. It's like a mix between Sanctum and Minecraft, except the only defenses you can build are blocks that connect to each other and the guns you carry on you.

Is starforge as good as the videos make it seem? I just bought it regardless, but it looks freaking awesome

I think you'll find that it's actually a sound object that is placed near the cow. If I remember right, there are 2 ways to put sounds in a map. One being putting a sound object near the object, the second being attaching a sound object to an object. Not sure.

I think the cow sound, specifically, comes from that wooden cow cutout. But I'm not positive about that.

I'm not quite sure which sounds are available. I'm sure something is available, but it's been forever since I've touched Hammer. I'm sure that something may be there to swap it to, and I'm fairly certain that you'd just have to open the map up and edit the ambient sound object. If I remember right, it's somewhere around the middle of the map in the sky, near the sun object.

Once I get my desktop back, after my keyboard comes in, I might actually sit down and start doing maps again.

I noticed it (2Fort Night) has daytime sound effects when you're outside, like cows, grasshoppers, and birds. Do any of the official nighttime maps have sounds like crickets, and if so, how hard would it be to change the background ambience sound? I'm just curious.

Yeah, was just a simple modification of the map to swap it over to a night format. Why do you ask?
