The Good: Feels exactly like the original game

The combat feels really good, like the original Dragon's Dogma and I did enjoy it. However, it can feel very repetitive as they don't really feel rewarding most of the time. While fighting the big enemies are great. you'll be fighting hundreds of throw-away monsters like goblins or wolves.

Story started out good with the mystery of the false Arisen. But it seems like they forgot about it and just went straight to the ending. Also, the way the story is told feels like they're just going through bullet points. Feels like they didn't hire actual writers in this game.

Exploration is meh. While I don't have a problem with limited fast travel, it can feel very tedious as the exploration is not really rewarding. There's no exciting or unique gear to loot or find. NPCs are very bland and generic. Pawn dialogues are very limited will feel very repetitive very quickly.

Quality of life features are basically non-existent. Archaic mechanics such as weight limits are annoying. You need to constantly manage your inventory. Random Pawns keep trying to talk to me forcefully.

Quest design is abyssmal. So. Many. Escort quests. Your companions will go to your house, and will ask you to escort them back to their house. It's obvious not much though has been given to the quests in the game.

Horrible port. Performance is really bad it's pretty much unplayable. Still searching for a fix.

Combat mechanics are awesome, especially magic.

Other aspects are a bit meh like the story and elements like inventory and stamina management are severely outdated.

Still a fun game and worth a try.

UPDATE (2021.07.16):

So the games seems to have been fixed and performance is better across the board (according to other users). Textures are still pretty much the same but serviceable (lots of mods available anyway.

Changing the review to positive now. This is one of the best games ever made and needs to be played by more people.

As a PC player, been waiting for the Halo franchise for years!! Definitely worth it.
