CPU/Performance issues aside, this is the definitive hero shooter. It makes Overwatch 2 look like ♥♥♥♥ and they do a really good job at keeping things lore accurate with Bios, skins, etc.

This game is FANTASTIC. Play alone or with friends. It brings the best of so many different games and fills the itch for a group pirate/group space game.

Update: Changing the review to not recommended. When I enter the open world, the performance is just gone. During combat in the open world, I am down to 50 - 70 FPS with the below specs and settings turned on. Additionally, the stuttering is worse. Even the fix mod, there is not much change with the game other than uncapped cutscenes and widescreen support (We shouldnt need a mod for it anyways). This truly feels like another Playstation port shaft for PC gamers.


I'm saying recommended simply because its a very good final fantasy entry. Music and Story are amazing. Combat is satisfying but very different (More than 13 and 15).

HOWEVER, the game ran like ass on performance mode on PS5 and it looks like its a struggle on PC as well. I can maintain 60 - 70 FPS on a 3080ti/13700k in most places but it chugs down super hard in open zones. DLSS/FSR gives me up to 80 - 90 but I can tell the resolution takes a big hit.

Additionally, this game has all cut scenes locked to 30FPS and it stutters a bit transitioning to and from cutscenes. No Ultrawide support in this game either.

Amazing story and character development. Cant wait for the sequel.

The UI has gone to ♥♥♥♥ a bit, but overall an improvement. I would want to see a better UI and more Graphical options soon.

We finally broke in and found out you could have just entered through the roof. 10/10.

The story takes a while to pick up, but that is to be expected as we are starting a new arc (and this happens all the time in other MMOs), so do not expect the fast face of the last 2 expansions. This will be a more Heavensward type pacing as they take time to introduce a new world, new sets of support characters and what will be the next few years of content for us.

The class changes were a bit light/basic but we are expecting some drastic reworks to the action system coming to all classes like Viper/Pictomancer work but we do not exactly know when.
