If you've played EDF 5, this game continues the trend of improving upon the past. Most class now has a third item use slot that greatly improves the gameplay and usability of some weapon classes from EDF 5. The item slot can come in very handy when reloading in the chaotic situations all too familiar to fans of previous titles. I can highly recommend this game to both fans of the series or new players seeking a fun crazy arcade shooter.

Amazing game with a supportive dev team and community

War Thunder is a game of lost potential. There is no other game like War Thunder currently where you can have ground, air, and naval forces fight in semi realistic vehicles. But you can only do that in custom battle lobbies. The only modes you will get is the same pvp kill the enemy and capture the points for the past 9 years. War Thunder has so much potential, but is put down by terrible management at Gaijin Entertainment that only favors profit over community concerns.

The biggest issue of this game is the grind after WWII vehicles. It will be a horrendous painful slog where if you play certain vehicles or even nations, you will actually lose silver lions. Want to alleviate the horrible grind? Get a premium account and or premium vehicle and double your silver lion and research point gains. It sounds like a lot but it will only cover the pain for one rank at most. God forbid if you don't have the time to grind for 8 hours each day. While doing this grind you will quickly discover that War Thunder isn't actually a fun game, it just has fun moments. The only time the game has actually been fun is during its limited time April Fools event where they release a new vehicle type and new mechanics.

If you're considering playing War Thunder, I recommend sticking to low tier WWII vehicles since that's the most fun tier to play. And if I may, please don't buy any golden eagles, premium account time, or premium vehicles. The only way War Thunder can improve is if Gaijin Entertainment gets the message that they need to improve, and the only language they actually understand is money.
