Early Access Review
- be me, lord of the manor
- built plenty of homes so the peasants could stop yapping bout bein homeless
- farm fields up and running and i've sent some rag covered hags into the woods for berries and game.
- things are looking nicely
- winter comes
- food supply plummets
- more villagers move in
- by now there are 90 villagers
- spring is right around the corner and we might survive with only 2 months of food supply left
- spring arrives. food production starts to go back up.
- somehow family still starving
- THEYRE EATING THE FOOD IMMEDIATELY AS IT BECOMES AVAILABLE
- destroy some homes to stem the tide of hungry villagers
- villagers riot
- food becomes scarce
- panic
- bandits come
- villagers die
- last family running the church ends up burying the whole lot
- 2 families left alive
- save and close game
- take a nap and start a new save.

GG 12/10 would sacrifice more peasants next time to punish them for being gluttons.
great game. love it. can't stop playing it. i bought my gf a copy and now she's glued to the screen tormenting peasants. nothing on the market like it.

Jesus christ we've got a lot of people who don't know the different between "pay-to-win" and "quality of life". I'm going to break down the 3 biggest items so ya'll can understand.

Wakestones can be obtained purely through playing the game. Heck one hour of play through can gain you a handful of them just by swapping out pawns as you level. The option to buy them at LITERALLY 99 cents is exactly what it is. OPTIONAL. Heck I doubt I'll use a wakestone my entire playthrough since I just save often and can load save before big fights.

Rift Crystals - oh this is my favorite one. You use them to hire pawns that are a HIGHER LEVEL THAN YOU. As long as pawns are the same level or lower than you, there's no reason to even spend rift crystals. WHY do you have to use them to buy higher lvl pawns? Easy answer, higher level pawns have the possibility of carrying your gameplay. On top of that, you literally earn a couple dozen RC just by completing quests and activities.

Portcrystal - basically you can sit this anywhere you want in the world creating a "teleport point". To teleport you need what's called a FERRYSTONE that is obtained ingame. Portcrystals are also found ingame in very specific places (i won't spoil go find them yourself). Honestly, once again no need for this. There are ferrystones that directly teleport you to big towns etc. I think I only ever used a Portcrystal ONCE in my entire Dragons Dogma 1 playthrough.

As for the rest of the items, they have no value other than "hey its there if you wanted to". Not a single one of these purchase is going to magically give you an advantage over anyone else playing the game, hence why it's not pay-to-win.

As for performance issues, the ONLY issue I actually ran into was the fact that because of the high quality of graphics, I succumbed to motion sickness which is common for me when I play very graphic intense games with as smooth movement as this one. Luckily tweaking the graphics down and changing a few other options helped so now I can play it at longer intervals. I've yet to come across any stuttering, frame drop, etc. For those of you complaining about 30 fps, you don't even notice it. Feels no different from playing Elden Ring or similar 3rd person titles.

Review bombing the game because people are failing to understand what exactly is being offered in the shop is the most ridiculous ♥♥♥♥ I've seen in a hot minute. Go play the damn game and if you have a problem then don't. It's that simple.

I've never felt more patriotic about a cause until I played HELLDIVERS 2. No stronger bonds between helldivers could be forged than under the intense firefights that rampage across the galaxy. We are but Democracy's hands that dish out righteous fury onto the Tyranids and Automatons. May we commit war crimes against our enemies always.

To get straight to the point. This game is a 12/10. I highly recommend anyone who's into this genre of games, to give it a try. And for those of you Nintendo log riders going "they ripped off pokemon", Nintendo would literally never dare to give you a game as in depth as this one. Just have fun.

This game is great if you're not counting the absolute idiots that play the game. Other than that. 6.9 stars. you lose 3.1 because of the degeneracy.

This game is the definition of "started from the bottom now we're here". Hello Games did indeed put out an unfinished product on release but thanks to their hard work and NEVERENDING drive, they've created a game that FAR surpasses initial expectations. I don't write reviews for games very often but this game is just deserving of a review. I can't count the many hours that my friends and I have laughed and memed our way across the universe discovering one thicc ass alien lifeform to the next. With all the recent updates that have been pushing out from "Desolation" to "Origins", I can't think of a better game. Hello Games, if you see this... I'm proud of you. Keep doing what you're doing and always stay true to yourselves. <3

Honestly, this game was insanely fun when it first came out. It was high risk/high reward. If you were caught and killed that was the end of it. This encouraged high paced gameplay with critical team thinking and teamwork. At that time I would've rated this game 12/10. Unfortunately, they did away with that "fast paced" feel and replaced it with the dumbest mechanics I've seen for a game like this. Now killer can just farm survivors for points prolonging the game just so they can hit a higher score than the last one. It doesn't feel like a survivor game any more. It's just a "how many points can I get before the timer runs out". I'm disappointed that this is the way the game turned out in the end and hope that maybe someday they revert it back to its initial state of release.
